Fly and maintain Samaritan’s Purse operated aircraft;Performs pilot duties as needed or assigned;Files flight plans as needed or assigned;Obtains weather data and interprets data based on flight plan;Completes aircraft weight and balances for flights;Loads and unloads passenger’s luggage in aircraft;Keeps assigned aircraft charts and software updated;Keeps the aircraft clean, neat, and polished when home and away from the home base including sanitizing the aircraft restroom facilities after each flight;Assists in the maintenance, repair, and cleaning of SP facilities.Works with the FAA as assigned;Represents Samaritan’s Purse as a professional when dealing with donors, government officials, and others;Assists with office duties and other duties as assigned;Perform pre-flight and post flight cheques as needed to ensure safetyMaintain a strong Christian witness to colleagues, vendors, charitable beneficiaries, and the general public.Attend daily morning devotions and participate in prayer support for the ministry, its donors and volunteers;Maintain a strong Christian witness to colleagues, vendors, charitable beneficiaries, and the general public;Assess, manage, and report critical physical, emotional, or spiritual concerns of supervised staff;
To perform this job successfully, an individual must maintain a personal relationship with and be a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, as well as able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Fifth year college or university program certificate; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Twelve credit hours of college-level Biblical studies.FAA First Class Medical Certificate.Pilot certificates. Must possess a valid FAA Commercial or ATP pilot certificate with Multi Engine and Instrument Ratings.Minimum of 1500 flight hours total time. More than 2500 flight hours desired.Must have an FAA A&P mechanic certificate, or equivalent, with a minimum of one year experience.Language Ability. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors;Mathematical Skills. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations;Reasoning Ability. Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Perform aircraft inspections and maintenance to airworthy standards that meet or exceed FAA requirements.
 Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft so that they are available for dispatch as scheduled. This may mean extended work hours, weekends, or working nights to return the aircraft to service;Perform maintenance duties in a timely, efficient and accurate manner;Ensure continued airworthiness of the aircraft;Ensure the aircraft are clean and neat;Ensure the aircraft records are current and complete;Maintain the equipment and facilities for the aircraft;Assist in other activities and projects as assigned by management;Maintain a strong Christian witness to colleagues, vendors, charitable beneficiaries, and the general public;Attend daily morning devotions and participate in prayer support for the ministry, its donors and volunteers;Assess, manage, and report critical physical, emotional, or spiritual concerns of supervised staff;Maintenance personnel are often required to overnight at field locations in support of our operations – up to 30% of the time depending on our activity. Personnel should anticipate many of the locations being austere with few amenities. Showers, a hot meal, and even a bed may not be available. Position: Nutrition Officer

Following the declaration of food insecurity in the country and recommendations from the short rains assessment, SP intends to implement a 5 month Nutrition program in West Pokot targeting children below five years, pregnant and lactating women.

The nutrition Program seeks to reduce morbidity and mortality associated with malnutrition in the identified groups through provision of food and health services.

We are therefore seeking qualified candidates to fill the following positions base in Garissa County Dadaab District, North Eastern Kenya.

The post is a field position in a feeding program. Integrated Management of Acute Malanutrition (IMAM) based in Garissa County Dadaab district. The nutrition officer will be reporting to the Nutrition program manager

Responsibilities

Ensure that nutrition care is provided to the beneficiaries at the SFCs through the mobile clinics.Plan and oversee medical and anthropometric screening of malnourished children and pregnant and lactating mothersAssist in organizing training to improve the skills of the national staff in screening, supplementary feeding, as well as nutrition education.Organize and supervise dry supplementary food program and outpatient therapeutic program visits Supervise and perform close monitoring of the staff working in the nutrition program (i.e Nutrition assistants, educators and Community Nutrition Volunteers).Work closely with the stabilization centers in attending to and monitoring the admitted children using the standard IMAM protocolOversee the collection, handling, analysis and reporting of data related to screening, patients follow-up, and commodities (food and medical)Monitor the nutrition status surveillance of all children less than 5 years old; pregnant and breastfeeding mothers in SFCs; and participate in the nutrition surveillance, active screening, rapid nutrition assessments, Nutrition Surveys and produce final nutrition reports. Assist in developing formal and informal training materials to build the capacity of the host population in health and nutrition.Perform any other duty as shall be directed by the program manager Person Specifications Education

The Construction Clerk of Works (CoW) responsibility is to give oversight and direction to the construction crews on each building site. This person is ultimately responsible for ensuring that the building plans are implemented both effectively and efficiently.

The CoW is responsible for quality control, implementation of appropriate construction standards and practices, managing the construction staff of construction crews operating in different field sites, maintaining on-site inventory and financial control, ensuring necessary equipment is maintained, developing relationships with the local church communities, assisting in logistics to sites, ensuring safety on construction sites and assess and evaluate problematic
structures
