Job Title:Technical Analyst/Applications Developer

Job Purpose:
Reporting to the Manager, Applications & Interfaces, ICT Department, the job holder
Shall develop interface applications for T24 and extend /customize the Bank’s Temenos T24 System.

Technical Analyst Key Duties & Responsibilities

Use jbase/java to develop/extend T24 applications including developing interfaces to other back office applications/inter-locking systems.

Recommend improvements to existing T24 technical and business processes in order to meet the Bank¿s requirements.

Translate the business needs and requirement specifications into design specifications.

Develop program/code from design specifications to good quality software and in conformance to system development standards.

Work closely with IT Security to ensure that applications are well secured.

Work closely with third party vendors to assess vendor proposals and recommendations

Specify and ensure application controls are incorporated during design of the software in order to check on risk exposure.

Document system developments in accordance to the application development policy.

Create test plans, test cases, test scripts and perform technical unit testing.

Work with existing systems to track and manage change requests and user issues.

Perform root cause analysis for recurring incidents, design and execute test plans.
Analyst Job Requirements

Qualifications, Experience and Competencies

Degree in Computer Science or related field.

At least 3 years’ experience in application development.

Demonstrated in-depth Java and T24/JBASE development experience.

Conversant with at least 5 (five) T24 core modules

Demonstrated understanding/knowledge of Linux/Unix Operating Systems.

Certification in programming.

Experience working on/developing web or mobile application will be an added advantage

Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities;

Proven ability to be flexible and work hard, both independently and in a team environment, in a high pressure on-call environment with changing priorities.

A team player, possessing excellent communication, presentation, analytical, planning, organizational and interpersonal skills

Should be open-minded and a change champion

Mature person with proven integrity, initiative and drive
Ability to think strategically with creative problem solving skills
