Our Client is a hotel located 20 minutes from Kenya’s capital city Nairobi and only 10 minutes from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
It’s only three minutes drive from cheetah gate leading to the Nairobi National Park and only 2 hours drive from Amboseli National park.
The hotel is a convenient refreshed point for travelers on the Nairobi-Mombasa and Nairobi-Namanga routes. The hotel comprises of 14 en-suite bedrooms elegantly styled and tastefully furnished.
Our client is looking for an Operations Manager (Available immediately/ not working) to oversee the entire operations of the hotel.
These Operations include human resources, housekeeping, security, public relations, food service, sales and finances.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in hotel, business or hospitality management
- At least 3 years experience working for a hotel
- Must possess strong leadership and motivational skills
- Strong oral / written communication skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Basic computing and filing skills
Key Responsibilities
- planning and organizing accommodation, catering and other hotel services;
- promoting and marketing the business;
- managing budgets and financial plans as well as controlling expenditure;
- maintaining statistical and financial records;
- setting and achieving sales and profit targets;
- analyzing sales figures and devising marketing and revenue management strategies;
- recruiting, training and monitoring staff;
- planning work schedules for individuals and teams;
- meeting and greeting customers;
- dealing with customer complaints and comments;
- addressing problems and troubleshooting;
- ensuring events and conferences run smoothly;
- supervising maintenance, supplies, renovations and furnishings;
- dealing with contractors and suppliers;
- ensuring security is effective;
- carrying out inspections of property and services;
- Ensuring compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations.
