Electrical Engineering Job Requirements
The candidate must have:
A degree in Electrical Engineering.
Must be registered as an Engineer with a relevant professional body.
Minimum of 5 years’ post registration experience.
A Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Business Management or Project Management will give an added advantage.
Experience in coordinating engineering work, preparation of engineering designs supervision of construction works and supervising staff responsible for such work, including private consultants.
Good communication and computer technical skills (AutoCAD, MS Word, Excel, M.S. Project, and other related packages).
Good personality and high integrity.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Electrical Engineeer
The Electrical Engineers will assist the Senior Civil or Structural Engineer in the following tasks;
Assist in management of the Section, ensuring all staff carry out their work efficiently.
Coordinating the work of engineering design, preparation of working drawings, and supervision of engineering elements of new buildings and rehabilitation maintenance construction works in line with their respective specializations.
Formulation of engineering design standards, and administrative and operational procedures concerning the same.
Supervision and approval of engineering design, drawings and construction works.
Supervise the work of staff in the engineering section, including private engineering consultants engaged by the Directorate.
