Summary: Our client is a FMCG company looking for a Junior Manager.
 

Job Summary: The successful candidate will be tasked with delivering development and the resultant efficient, proper and largely independent processing of IIM-projects and R&D projects.

Primary Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Management

In consultation with his/her superior laboratory manager the candidate will be responsible to plan / design / develop projects and product batches that directly flow into 11M project and therefore into product development projects. 

 

They will also independently manage R&D projects and in this context are responsible for information procurement, coordination with the laboratory manager, the department heads and cooperating external units, preparation of project briefings as well as planning and performing the necessary tests including documentation. 

The job holder will help in the context of his/her project to establish and cultivate contacts with universities and other institutions outside the organization.
 

Running special efficacy tests

In consultation with the superior laboratory manager the candidate will perform appropriate and on-time efficiency and product tests. 

You will plan and commission internally (i.e. Microbiology, R&D Services) necessary tests that cannot be performed in the respective department.
 

Documentation
You will be responsible for scientifically correct documentation and reporting of your results. 

Documentation will be completed promptly and in consultation with the superior function as written reports or, if necessary, in German or English presentations in internal meetings with cooperating expert departments. 

You will develop new approaches for product development in the context of 11M-projects and defines the development requirements for pre-development departments.
Patents

In order to protect your own work you will run patent searches in consultation with superiors and supported by the respective patent field coordinator. 

In consultation with your superior, the patent field director and the Patent department, if necessary, you will prepare your own patent disclosures or application texts.

Knowledge acquisition

The candidate should be self-motivated to maintain and expand his/her expertise by studying the literature regularly. 

This updating takes place according to the latest company-strategy developments as well as new scientific-technological developments.

Mentoring

You will provide technical training to apprentices/trainees, interns and, if necessary, graduate students and also lab workers in specific areas.

Laboratory safety 

Responsible for supplying the necessary lab equipment in his/her work area and, if necessary, informing a superior of necessary steps. 

He / She will be in charge of maintenance, occupational health and safety, as well as personal protection measures in consultation with his/her superior.

He / She will regularly keep up on the current regulations and guidelines.
 

Key interfaces: Be responsible for maintaining interfaces to other departments within R&D and, if necessary, with Marketing, ensures the exchange of information with employees from cooperating expert departments.

Skills and Certification:

• 1 – 6 years of experience within FMCG Manufacturing environment


• Honours, Masters or PhD in natural sciences, chemical engineering or cosmetics / pharmaceuticals would be preferred


• Experience in cosmetic product development, food, pharmaceutical, household is essential.


• Preferred if you have additional experience of product evaluation / testing / fragrance


• Keen and willing to be based in India
