Title: Public Relations Officer
Purpose: To create Brand Awareness through Media and Online Platforms
Place of Duty: Securex Head Office
Responsibilities:
- Create & maintain a database of journalists, editors and key media personalities.
- Draft press releases and follow up with editors
- Monitor all Social Media Accounts.
- Create content for social media accounts.
- Liaise with the Customer service team to resolve complaints and queries received on online platforms and ensure they are followed and closed in a timely manner.
- Monitor the company website and to include a weekly blogpost.
- Draft of a quarterly newsletter.
- Draft of official speeches and correspondence.
- Assist in the preparation of events & sales drives.
Reporting To: Marketing and Communications Manager
Competencies and Skills
- Degree in Public Relations or a marketing related course
- 2 years’ experience in the public relations field
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Creative, lively and very presentable
- Knowledge in web design, photoshop, InDesign (added advantage)
- Member of MSK/ PRSK (added advantage)
