Principal Investigation Officer - Ethics and Integrity
 Investigating of cases of corruption and unethical behavior by the members of the staff.Conducting Integrity Testing.Enforcement of Kenya Revenue Authority’s Anti—Fraud and Corruption and Whistle Blowing Policies.Preparation of work allocation schedules.Preparation of monthly reports for Top Management meetings.Conduct staff counseling.Supervision of officers in the unit.Co-ordination of staff motivation and team building activities.Providing necessary support to the management.Any other relevant duties assigned.Academic and professional qualificationsBachelor’s degree in the relevant field from a recognized university.Training in investigations skills from a recognized institution.Membership to a relevant professional body will be an added advantage.At least 7 years experience in investigations of cases related to corruption and unethical behavior in a comparable organization.Analytical skills.Investigative and detective skills.Skills in integrity testing operations.Excellent report writing skills.Must have high standards of integrityStrong leadership skills.Good interpersonal and communication skills.Computer literate. The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission(IEBC) is established under Article 88 of the constitution of Kenya with the mandate of conducting or supervising referenda and elections to any elective body or office established by the Constitution, and any other elections as prescribed by an Act of Parliament. Other duties include delimitation of electorate units, registration of voters, regulation of political parties, voter education, settling of electoral disputes and modernization and reforming of electoral processes and systems.
IEBC ensures that elections are credible, transparent, free and fair. It is committed to upholding national values and principles of good governance and democracy. The Commission adheres to principles of the law on public services especially on leadership and integrity.
The IEBC invites applications for the following positions:-
 1. Manager - Investigation and Prosecutions Effectively and efficiently manage the investigation and prosecutions department.Prepare departmental work plans and ensure implementation of the same within set guidelines.Monitor departmental work performance and ensure no back log on cases.Supervise staff work performance in the department and ensure enhanced productivity.Prepare budgets for the department and ensure proper utilization.To supervise all prosecutions undertaken by the Commission and ensure cases are handled effectively.To assist in Dispute Resolution handling process in the Commission.LLB Degree from a recognized university.Diploma in Law from Kenya School of Law.Admitted as an advocate in the High Court of Kenya.At least 8 years’ experience, preferably in criminal prosecutions.Ability to engage in Dispute Resolution.Computer literate.Team player.Being an investigation officer or former prosecutor is an additional advantage.2. Election Offences Prosecution Officer Effectively and efficiently handle prosecution matters.Preparing pleadings and other materials.Appearing in court to present evidence and argue the cases on behalf of the Commission.Advise the commission where necessary on legal matters and undertake legal research.LLB Degree from a recognized university.Diploma in Law from Kenya School of Law.Admitted as an advocate in the High Court of Kenya.At least 6 years’ experience, preferably in criminal investigations.Ability to engage in Dispute Resolution.Computer literate.Team player.3. Election Offences Investigation Officer Effectively and efficiently investigate election matters.To supervise investigations undertaken by the commissionThe collection, tabulation and recording of history and data concerning Criminal, undesirable and suspicious persons in electoral units relating to individual and matters calling for special enquiry.Conducting and correspondence and interchange of reports on election matters with the commission.The investigation of complicated criminal offences and furnishing of assistance to commission in cases of inquiries presenting difficult featureThe supervision, where desirable of individuals during election period.Degree in criminology or any other related degree from a recognized university.Being atleast a chief inspector or equivalent.At least 6 years’ experience, preferably in criminal investigations.Ability to engage in Dispute Resolution.Computer literate.Team player.A printed copy of the form and copies of certificates can be dropped or posted to the;
