In keeping with our current business needs, we are looking for a person who meets the criteria indicated below:

Leased Lines Engineer
Ref: TECHNICAL_LLE_DECEMBER 2010

Reporting to the Operations Support Group (OSG) Manager, the holder of the position will be responsible for managing of spectrum; tracking usage, costs, network-wide audits; tracking and reporting on lease lines, microwave and VSATs.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct physical site visits and track usage of spectrum;Manage and report on costs of spectrum, lease lines, microwave and VSATs as per usage;Ensure prompt payment of spectrum, lease lines, microwave and VSATs;Maintain and update spectrum, lease lines, microwave and VSATs databases;Conduct network wide spectrum audits and make recommendations for realignment where necessary;Monitor performance and ensure compliance to service level agreements for assigned third party contractors;Oversee works orders and escalations are opened and closed in line with service level agreements;Achieve cost saving through initiatives such as minimizing the cases of physical guarding of sites;Generate intrusion and guarding trends reports;Provide the OSG Manager with weekly, monthly and ad hoc progress reports.BSC Degree in Electrical Engineering IT or Telecommunications;1-2 years experience in a telecommunications environment specifically in GSM industry;Knowledge in spectrum, bandwidth and VSAT will be an added advantage;Ability to manage and deliver technical projects on time and within budget;Good communicator with excellent interpersonal skills;Ability to make decisions quickly and accurately;Following instruction while executing a given tasks and keeping records of work done;Excellent time management of self and others;A team player.If you feel that you are up to the challenge and posses the necessary qualification and experience please send your resume and application letter indicating your experience and why you are the most suitable candidate for the role clearly quoting the job title to the address below.
