Management of renewals/business retentionMarketing Strategy Formulation and ImplementationNew Business AcquisitionProduct DevelopmentIdentification of New Business opportunities (other than brokers/agents)Market Research and IntelligenceCustomer service and Complaints handlingPreparation of annual premium budget and setting up strategies to achieve the sameManaging Credit controlAdvising the Executive Director on issues pertaining to the businessAppointment of New Business sources including brokers and agentsEvents handling and co-ordinating e.g. golf tournaments, trade fairs etcEstablish and maintain a good relationship with the brokers, agents and clients. Likewise maintain close liaison with other departments in the organisation.Contribute as a member of the management team to the development of operational policies for the achievement of the corporate plans as stipulated in the Company Three year Business Strategy.The fostering and maintenance of good corporate image through liaison with all competitors, intermediaries and the general publicAttendance of all scheduled meetings to facilitate smooth operational proceduresEnsure all statutory and regulatory requirements are met in a timely mannerDeveloping and training of new staff members in the departmentEnsure that Performance Management process is embraced and continuously being carried out within the departments for effective and efficient service to our customers with a view to achieve overall company business goals in line with the Company’s Business Plan.A minimum of a Business related degree from a recognized UniversityA Masters degree will be an added advantageA relevant professional qualification including ACII, ,CIM, a local diploma in insurance etcAt least Six (6) years in a busy and relevant environmentAt least Three (3) years in a managerial positionMust be a self-starter, highly motivated and a team playerMust have sound analytical, negotiation, interpersonal and communication skillsMust be a good listener with excellent customer relation skillsMust be a good problem solver with strong decision making skillsAbility to plan, organize and prioritize (ability to work within strict deadlines)Persons currently in direct contact with Brokers, agents and clients will have a distinct advantageInterested candidates should address their application and a detailed resume to:
