Our client, a leading paper/carton manufacturing company in Kenya is seeking to recruit a Sales Manager.
Age Bracket: 35-45 yrs


Sales Manager Job Salary: Gross Ksh. 100,000 – 150,000 per month + Incentives


Reporting to: Chief Executive Officer


Important: Ideal Candidate Must Be Working With A Paper/Carton Manufacturing Company.


Overall responsibilities:


The person will be in charge of prospecting for sales orders both within Kenya and outside Kenya. He/she will be the liaison person between the Customer and the Company. Customer service is one of the core roles to ensure that Customers get their products on agreed dates and in agreed tonnages.

He/she will also liaise with Customers on obtaining payments from them in accordance to the credit terms extended to them. Further, market intelligence and feedback on any changes in customer needs must be informed to the Management.
Sales Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Attend weekly sales and production planning meetings with the production departments to ensure that customer delivery times and tonnages have been taken into account.

Continuously engage Mill Managers on production and dispatch status of Customers and bring to the attention of the CEO on any issues.

Inform customers of any changes in the delivery schedule.

Proactively prospect for sales orders for both Units in accordance with the agreed sales tonnages targets.

Continuously visit customers with a view of developing relationships and to increase order tonnages.

Market survey with customers on what else the companies can offer to customers and discuss with the CEO

Collect market intelligence and feedback to the Management.

Follow up on payments by customers in accordance with agreed credit extended to them

Receive, record and inform production of any customer complaints and ensure that they are resolved within 2 days.

Any other role and responsibility that the Management will give from time to time.


Key Performance Indicators:


Sales targets according to agreed annual budgets

% of collection within credit period 90%

Acquisition of new customers: both local and export market measured per quarter

Customer complaints: resolved within 2 days
