Water Purification Technician – Turkana
Location: Turkana

A well established company identifies and develops infrastructure projects in the Central and East African regions is looking for a Water Purification Technician.

Summit Technician Job Key responsibilities

To operate and maintain the reverse osmosis production unit to produce an adequate supply of optimum quality, potable water and ice

Inspect and clean the dispensing points on a 3 hourly basis to ensure safe, hygienic operations

Maintain the water treatment plant sub-systems; pre-treatment sub-system, filtering sub-system, chemical treatment processes

Maintain the ice production plant sub-systems; the ice production sub-system, condensers, ice dispensing sub-system
Technician Vacancy Essential requirements:

Must have a BSc in Water Engineering or a related discipline

Must have hands on experience in operating ice production equipment

Ability and experience in operating and maintaining reverse osmosis water purification equipment and systems

The ability to apply data to formulas that determine treatment requirements, flow levels and concentration levels

Good mechanical and plumbing skills

Basic analytical and problem solving skills

Good communication skills; oral, written and interpersonal

Experience working in a diverse and multicultural environment

Monthly gross salary: 70,000 – 100,000 depending on experience and qualifications
Other benefits: Food and accommodation provided while on station, 3 weeks on, 1 week off
