We are currently recruiting for our client a manufacturing company in Nairobi .
Position: Purchasing Assistant
Purchasing Assistant Primary Responsibilities
Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Solicitation and evaluation of quotes.
Processing of purchase orders.
Checking order acknowledgments and following-up on deliveries.
Filing ordering documentation.
Contacting distributors and producers.
Helping suppliers solving related purchasing issues.
Assisting the purchase officers in their daily tasks.
Maintaining master data.
Qualifications and Experience for the Purchasing Assistant Kenyan Job
The ideal applicant should have experience in manufacturing or related industry as assistant purchaser/ buyer.
The post requires:
Degree or diploma in Purchasing and or supplies management
Five years experience
Knowledge and experience in procurement of supplies and services.
Commercial understanding.
Good communication skills in English.
Knowledge and hands-on experience of MS Office applications and the Materials Management module of an ERP system, ideally SAP.
Flexibility and ability to work in a team.
Efficiency and flexibility in executing tasks.
High motivation and service-oriented personality.
