Manufacturing General Manager Job in Kenya

Our client is currently seeking to fill a position of a General Manager – Manufacturing. 

The GM is expected to play a key role in ensuring ROI targets are achieved by providing successful business leadership and management through effective planning, controlling, organizing and directing core company activities towards achieving company goals.     

The General Manager reports to the Group Managing Director and will be responsible for supervising Foam Management team in the key functions e.g. Finance, Production, HR, Logistics, Technical, Marketing & Sales.

 

Responsibilities

• Attend leadership business review meetings to give overall company performance reports


• Drive compliance towards Group & company policies


• PR-management of relationships with multilevel internal & external stake holders


• Foster internal communication and team culture including management and staff meetings


• Devise and implement agreed overall company strategies and action plans


• Budgeting, budget control and cost management 


• Company performance evaluation and reporting Supply chain management


• Operations Management – Planning, execution and monitoring of daily, weekly & monthly production plans ,


• Quality control & maintenance of HSE standards & Equipment maintenance


• People Management


• Planning & implementation of marketing, sales and distribution initiatives, Competitor analysis, marketing intelligence & Distribution channel management

Requirements

• Relevant degree in the related field


• 5 -8 years of progressive management experience in similar or related roles


• Strong industry back ground
