Summary: Our Client is one the largest home-grown home and personal care products manufacturing company looking for a Procurement Manager.

 

Job Purpose: Leading the Kenya procurement and sourcing team to derive cost savings through alternate sourcing route within Kenya, and provision of consumption-based savings reporting with monthly projections / tracking.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Ensuring the availability of Raw Material and Pack Material on line (ZERO stock out)


• Driving overall cost saving agenda for the East Africa region


• Reduce slow moving and obsolete stocks in both Raw and Pack material


• Improve availability of FG imports into the different sites though planning and coordination


• Drive production planning to eliminate Finished Goods’ stock-out in the market


• Responsible for the management of the procurement team, including the monitoring of their performance, planning training appropriate to their needs and the control of the service programs


• Supplier identification, managing and evaluation of performance


• Responsible for the management of client relationships and ensuring that team manages any complaints appropriately and monitoring customer feedback to maintain high levels of customer service.


• To advise management on procurement policies and operating procedures to ensure the business runs effectively and efficiently.


• Assessing potential of new and existing opportunities and present new opportunities in a clear and analytical manner to management


• Managing the replenishment of stocks through a systematic manner considering lead time, consumption and minimum stock handling costs


• Petty Cash Management

Academic & Professional Qualification, Experience:

• An undergraduate degree preferably in procurement


• A postgraduate diploma/certificate in procurement/supplies


• 5 to 8 years experience preferably in an FMCG three of which should be middle – senior level management


• Member of a professional body in area of expertise


• Master degree/MBA will be an added advantage
