Duty Station: Nairobi (with frequent travels to project areas)

To discharge support duties of financial and administrative nature that will ensure smooth running of activities and overall improvement of the organization’s processes and services rendered
Job Description
Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssist with strengthening sound financial and reporting systems for the organization to ensure efficient financial management of grant finances and improvement in accounting skills for the organization.Assist with preparing training materials and manuals for reference by team members.Do proper book-keeping, accountancy and reporting requirements for all program and projects and the use of computerized accounting systems.Assist in conducting financial reviews for the organization in the course of program implementation.Work with the partner staff to aid them to submit timely reports in line with donor regulations and liquidate their advances on time.Review of documents and transactions at the organizations and ascertain compliance, accuracy, relevance and reasonableness of each transaction.Assist in the review of the quarterly budgets comparison reports and forward them to the project officers and partners.Required qualifications and competencies:University Graduate in business or commerce, certified as CPA (K) or ACCA.Masters of business administration (MBA) degree will be an added advantage.Minimum two year experience in NGO financial management/administration, especially in diverse donor funded programs and projectsExcellent skills in MS Office (excel and word) and experienced in computer based accounting software (QuickBooks and Sage).Documented knowledge of banking, auditing, financial and internal control Page 2 of 2 methodologies.Solid analytical skills with proven ability to work independently and complete assignments.Good interpersonal and team playing skills with strengths in discretion and maintaining confidential information.Able to manage a diverse workload with competing priorities.Fluency in spoken and written English.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Experience in procurement procedures and financial capacity building/leadership is an advantage.Have a personal commitment to work as a reliable, honest and trustworthy team member and be able to handle all sensitive (accounting or otherwise) information with the confidentiality required.Ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative team approach.Good time management skills and be able to deliver with minimal supervision.If you know you have the right qualifications and experience, please send your application together with C.V. and relevant testimonial noting to provide details of three work related references.

of Communications officer and Resource mobilization officer as follows:

Job Title: Communication Officer

Location Nairobi

Job Purpose:

To provide, critical support in the knowledge dissemination and knowledge transfer activities within CREAW.

The officer will assist in the development of and support the realization of objectives and targets related to CREAW’s Internal and External communications in a professional, efficient and effective manner.

Key Requirements;

Bachelor’s degree in communication or other relevant area of study in science, with proven experience in public and media relations and journalism.
Strong analytical skills including hands on design management of publishing, website and communication product development.Excellent writing and communication skills.Job Title: Resource Mobilization Officer

Location: Nairobi

Job Purpose:

The Resource Mobilization Officer will take the lead in identifying and sourcing for funding and resource opportunities from multiple sources including but not limited to (development partners, foundations and corporate), at national, regional and international level, and will coordinate and manage the resource mobilization portfolio.

Key Requirements;

A minimum of a University degree in Economics, Social work, communications & Marketing or related development field.
3 years of relevant professional experience in related field.
