Agricultural Finance Corporation Procurement Manager Career Opportunity

We are a State Corporation whose mission is to provide quality and sustainable customer focused financial services for the development of the agricultural sector in Kenya.

In order to achieve this, we seek to recruit a high caliber result oriented Procurement professional to strengthen the Corporation's human resource.

Position: Manager - Procurement
Reporting to: General Manager-Human Resources & Administration

Some of the key functions will be:

Prepare purchase requisitions, and issues local purchase orders in accordance with Corporation policy and negotiated terms and conditions.Prepares, reviews and evaluates bid/tender documents and proposals for all items to be procured by the Corporation in liaison with relevant Units:Manage vendor/ supplier relationships and assist in building effective partnerships.Ensure efficient procurement, receipting, storage, custody and issuance of stores and that deliveries meet the required standardsVerify all suppliers invoices, processes payments and ensure prompt settlementMaintain and keep records of Tender Committee meetings and provide secretarial services to the committee;Offer advice to Management on all matters relating to procurement and disposal of assets and stores.Bachelors degree in Supplies/Procurement or equivalent.Post graduate Diploma in Procurement Management or related areaAdvanced Management courseSix (6) years experience in a relevant and comparable institutionComputer literacy is a must for the positionAge - 45 years and belowThe successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary and benefits package.
