Overview

Our client is an automotive parts dealer seeking to consolidate its position in the Kenyan market and establish competitive advantage in its line of business. In addition to parts, the firm has distributorship of Loctite and Teroson motor vehicle adhesives and sealants.

The firm has presence in Nairobi and Mombasa and seeks to exploit the full potential of these markets through acquiring new customers and servicing existing ones.

In this regard, the firm is looking to grow its team of suitably qualified and experienced people to deliver on key performance objectives/targets in order to drive the firm towards achieving its short term and long term goals.

The incumbent will be responsible for implementing the sales strategy for motor vehicle spares, Loctite and Teroson adhesives and sealants, ensuring that optimal stock levels are available in the shop at all times, serve customers in a timely, efficient and courteous manner, service existing clients and acquire new ones.

Duties and responsibilities

Selling motor vehicle spares, Loctite and Teroson adhesives and sealants Ensuring that the shop maintains optimal stock levels at all timesEnsuring existing clients have Loctite and Teroson stocks at all timesServing customers in a timely, efficient and courteous mannerMaintaining and updating a database of existing and potential clientsIdentifying sales opportunities Following through and closing salesDetermining clients’ requirements and advising them on appropriate products Answering any technical questions about the products Writing sales reportsExcellent selling and presentation skills Ability to meet sales targetsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent negotiating skillsGood numerical skills Good report-writing skillsTime management and organization skillsIntegrityInitiative/self-drivenAggressive and ambitiousOutgoing & pleasant personality Ability to multi-taskCapacity to work well on your own or in a team Results- oriented and self-motivatedQualification Requirements and Work Experience
Higher Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/Physical Sciences/SalesExcellent knowledge of motor vehicle partsA thorough understanding of physical and chemical properties of materials, adhesives and sealantsSales experience in the automotive industrySales experience in Nairobi will be an added advantageWorking knowledge of MS OfficePreferably a ladyHow to Apply
