Background
Network of Adolescent and Youth of Africa (NAYA) is a youth-led organisation founded by the Planned Parenthood Federation of America in October 2001 during the Second Adolescent International Conference.
NAYA Kenya Chapter seeks to recruit staff for a three-year project for the following positions:


Programme Officer- Monitoring and Evaluation


The Program Officer will be stationed in Migori County with regular travel to the field


Main Purpose and Scope
To develop and implement M&E systems focused on data collection, analysis and reporting to ensure synergy between different projects and local M&E framework.


NGO Job Key Responsibilities:

Facilitate and offer technical support in planning and implementing of evaluation and research activities, including design of monitoring and evaluation for community advocacy; media activities; training assessment impact among the youth advocates; implementation, data collection, data analysis and reporting writing.

Provide technical support and guidance to NAYA staff at all stages of project monitoring, evaluation and research.

Complete and compile all necessary documentation and information for programme monitoring and evaluation.

Ensure adherence to M&E methodology and evaluation standards, and ethical protocols.

Identifying project staff M&E capacity building needs, facilitating access to capacity building opportunities, and providing training and mentorship on the same.

To lead, design and analysis of data for key conference presentations and manuscripts.

Assist program staff to develop systematic and realistic monitoring plans that capture quantitative and qualitative data to report on project performance indicators.

Coordinate the implementation of baseline surveys, follow‐on monitoring and evaluation exercises for various initiatives in the region.

Build capacity of NAYA youth advocates, partners and staff on the logical framework, data management, data analysis and results‐oriented programming, monitoring and evaluation methods and principles and report writing techniques and requirements for relevant donors to ensure compliance.

Develop program and operational reporting templates that facilitate the acquisition and aggregation of information in programs.

Coordinated compilation and dissemination of Annual and Quarterly Reports for the programs in the region.

Organize and coordinate lessons learnt workshops/review of program work plans with partners and other stakeholders.

Facilitate documentation and reporting of assessments, program data, lessons learnt and best practices for internal and external sharing.
NGO Vacancy Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s Degree (minimum), or a Master’s Degree (desirable), in Public Health, Sociology, Economics, Statistics, Business, or other relevant social science discipline.

At least four (3) years of relevant professional experience in routine monitoring and/or evaluation of health programs with bias on advocacy.

Demonstrated experience working in a team to design project monitoring plans, including the development of indicators, data collection systems, and data quality assurance processes.

Demonstrated expertise in data analysis or quantitative research methods.

Experience in capacity building, training, or supportive supervision related to data collection

Ability to independently plan and execute complex tasks while addressing daily management details and remaining organized and focused on long-term deadlines and strategy.

Solid professional reputation and strong, demonstrated interpersonal and collaborative skills.

Ability to travel extensively in Kenya, including in rural areas, on a frequent basis.

English language fluency.

Knowledge of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights.
