Job Description- Sewage Treatment Plant Operator
Understand the proper operation of the plant.
Ability to perform and document basic laboratory tests such as pH, temperature, and chlorine residual and apply the results to the process.
Ability to make process control decisions.
Maintain accurate and orderly records.
Have a thorough knowledge of mechanical equipment and the ability to diagnose and correct equipment or process malfunction.
Ability to work unsupervised.
Possess a basic knowledge of electricity.
Develop and implement an effective preventive maintenance program.
Posses a basic knowledge of computers.
Perform all work in conformance to local Health and Safety Act regulations.
Perform administrative duties such as recording of readings from meters and gauges, keeping logs of plant operations, and understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
Must possess health and physical fitness required with the demands of the position.
