Feeds Producer Technical Representative (Sales and Marketing)

Our client, one of the leading companies in producing Human food and animal feeds, is looking for a Technical Representative in Sales and Marketing.
 

Job Purpose: To build strong and lasting business relationships with stakeholders by anticipating and understanding customer needs and providing solutions in order to achieve budgets / targets (volumes, market share and profitability) within an assigned territory. 

He or she will be reporting to a Regional Manager.

Key Result Areas:

• Manage the pull demand for all Company range of products from end users.


• Ensure effective sales forecasting of demand for assigned territories.


• Directly manage relationships with key customers.


• Manage the recruitment and maintenance of agreed key accounts including stockists, agrovets, farms and dips to meet agreed sales objectives.


• Plan and manage the running of seminars, farmers’ day and other end users activities to create demand and improve product awareness.


• Provide technical expertise in product development to ensure products are focused to meet new or emerging consumer needs.


• Collect market intelligence data/information and share with relevant stake holders for appropriate action.


• Handle complaints of technical nature from key accounts and give guidance on handling other end user technical complaints.


• Ensure the designated initiatives are implemented leading to continual improvement

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

• Graduate in Veterinary Science or Diploma in Veterinary Sciences with relevant experience.


• Experience in animal related field is an added advantage


• Experience in Sales and Marketing is an added advantage.


• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suites

Other Requirements

• Excellent working relationship with Company business partners both Internal such as Managers and Supervisors and External including Veterinary Professionals e.g. Distributors / Stockists and farms, Government & Non-Governmental Organizations


• Achieving the sales budget through prudent management of the key stockists, agrovets and farms
