Impact Research and Development Organization is a registered Kenyan NGO with a main  office  in  Kisumu  and  regional  offices  in  eight  counties. 

IRDO’s  principal mandate is to design, implement and evaluate HIV/AIDS research and intervention programs that improve the health status of individuals and local communities. 

We are looking for qualified and experienced personnel to fill in the following positions during     November / December 2015 RRI in Nyando,Nyakach, Muhoroni, Kisumu East, Kisumu West, Seme, Bondo, Rarieda, Homabay, Rangwe, Ndhiwa, Rongo, Awendo, Uriri, Nyatike, Butula, Samia, Bunyala, Teso North, Teso South, Pokot North, Pokot West Sub–County and Turkana County.
 

 

VMMC Surgeon and Assistant Surgeon
 

Job Summary: Provide Voluntary Medical Male Circumcision (VMMC) services, screen and treat Sexually Transited Infections, in the targeted sub-counties.
 

Minimum Requirements:

• Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery / Nursing.


• Registered with relevant professional body and has a valid practicing license


• Must have at least one year’s experience in a busy health facility.


• Should have training and practical experience in  Voluntary Medical Male Circumcision.


• Knowledge on HIV/AIDS care and treatment is an added advantage.


• Ability to diagnose and treat Sexually Transmitted Infections.


• Must  be  pleasant,  have  good  communication  and  leadership  skills;  and willing to work under pressure.

HTC / VMMC Counselor 
 

Job Summary: Provide VMMC Counseling
 

Minimum Requirements:

• Certificate in HIV Counseling and testing from a recognized institution.


• Trained on HTC new algorithm


• Should have training and practical experience in VMMC counseling


• Must be pleasant, have good communication skills and willing to work under pressure.

Infection Prevention Officer 
 

Job  Summary: Sterilize  surgical  instruments for Voluntary Medical Male Circumcision and clean the office
 

Minimum Requirements:

• Form IV Certificate


• Should have training and practical experience in infection prevention and control  


• Must be pleasant, have good communication skills and willing to work under pressure.
