We are currently seeking a Project officer – Crops, for the Farm Africa - AMREF Kenya WASH and Food Security Integrated Project.
You will be responsible for the conservation agriculture activities for this project as well as introducing and promoting our tested dairy goat model.
As part of your active role as a key member of the AMREF – Farm Africa partnership project team, you will:Liaise with other project staff, developing effective and coherent plans for the agricultural componentsEnsure effective and successful planning, budgeting, management and implementation of agricultural development work within the projectYou will work to build the capacity of the local communities, enabling them to manage their agricultural resources and livelihoods sustainablyWe are looking for someone with a proven track record in farmer participatory research, data collection, entry and analysis with strong project planning and implementation skills and strong communications and facilitation skills necessary to provide field level training.You will have a relevant diploma level qualification and sound knowledge of the development and policy environment in Kenya.

Senior Procurement Officer HCDA Job Group 4 1 Post
Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, the Senior Procurement Officer will perform the following duties:-
Duties and responsibilities:
* To lead, coordinate and help develop consolidated annual procurement plans
* Timely procurement of goods and services in liaison with the user Department.
* Ensure compliance with relevant government policies on procurement, supplies management and disposal.
* Ensure security and safe custody of stores.
* Issuing and rationing of stores where demand exceeds supply.
* Processing orders, and follow up of outstanding deliveries.
* Recommending disposal of unserviceable stores.
* Preparation and submission of monthly procurement reports.
* Take an active lead in introduction, development and implementation of best Procurement practices.
* Any other related duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Managing Director or any other duly authorized officer.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce (Supplies Management option) or relevant field. A Masters degree in a related discipline will be an added advantage.
* Post Graduate Diploma in Supplies Management or its acceptable equivalent.
* Working knowledge in Public Procurement and Disposal procedures as contained in the Public Procurement and Disposal Act 2005 and Regulation 2006 as well as development partners.
* Minimum of three (3) years working experience as a Procurement/Supplies Officer or a comparable position in a busy organization.
* Computer literacy.
* Membership to K.I.S.M, C.I.M or C.I.P.S.
Senior Systems Analyst HCDA Job Group 4 1 Post
Reporting to the General Manager-Marketing, the Senior Systems Analyst will perform the following duties:-
Duties and responsibilities:
* Be the technical vocal point for the Authority and ensure successful implementation of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, ICT Policy and any other systems
* Planning, Monitoring and evaluating ICT activities
* Systems development and implementation
* Ensure Preventive Maintenance of ICT equipment and availability of internet, website, network and printing services
* Preparation of progress reports of system development efforts
* Preparing performance reports of staff members in ICT section
* Ensure that all databases are operational and preparation of reports
* Provide specification and technical advice with regard to procurement
* Liaising with user management to establish and ensure that information processing needs are being satisfactorily met.
* Any other related duties as may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer science or relevant field. A Masters degree in a related discipline will be an added advantage.
* Hands-on knowledge of database systems such as Oracle/SQL and Windows Server environment is desirable.
* Professional qualifications in ICT such as MCSE, CISCO, CCNA.
* Hands-on knowledge of internet technologies, programming languages, networking technologies and ERP Systems
* Demonstrate competence in working in different hardware and software environments and complex systems under minimum supervision
* Knowledge and competence in system analysis, design, programming and communication skills.
* Membership to computer society of Kenya or any other recognized professional body.
