Data Integration Specialist (SQL Developer)

Reporting to the Project & Group Projects Manager, The Data Integration Specialist works as part of the Projects Team based in Kenya, and is primarily tasked with producing and enhancing the company’s implementation of data conversions and database solutions.

Main purpose of job

The Data Integration Specialist is responsible for data conversion and integration based on one to multiple data source(s) and destination(s), to proactively meet customer needs as defined in a Functional Specification.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, deploy and support SSIS/ETL Packages/RoutinesDesign, develop and maintain MSSQL 2005/2008 database objects such as tables, views, stored procedures, functions, triggers, indexes, constraints, etc.Analyze data to identify root-cause of issues related to data warehouse and ETL processes, and provide troubleshooting expertise in resolving technical issuesDevelop and automate ETL processes that follow standards and best practices and are highly optimizedCreate and amend Crystal Reports and other types of printed outputQualifications and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline.Microsoft Certification in SQLExperience with T-SQL, SSIS and Microsoft database tools. Job Title: Systems Integration Engineer (2 Positions)

Key Areas of Responsibility

Creates and executes software integration plans Conduct scientific POC like integrations and/or evaluations to establish formal integrations strategies and roadmaps. Participate in the design of general integration strategies and propose/develop specific point integrations within the general framework. Ensure all designs are version-proof as integrated products follow their own roadmaps/life cycles. Working with product management, exercise influence (as much as possible) on 3rd party roadmap evolutions. Required Skills and Competencies

Academic Qualifications:

Advanced Diploma in Computer Science, IT or other related qualifications from a reputable Educational InstitutionDegree qualifications in Computer Science or related field will be an added advantage.3+ years experience in software development, including participation in enterprise-class projectsHands-on working experience with or extensive knowledge of several of the following integration protocols: SOAP-based APIs RESTful or XML-based APIs ISO8583 APIs Sockets Communication APIsSpecific Knowledge & Skills Requirements:

KEPSA is the only apex body of the business community in Kenya. KEPSA’s membership comprises Business Membership Organizations (BMOs) and corporate organizations.

It has a combined direct and indirect membership of more than 80,000 corporates across all sectors of the economy. KEPSA’s strategic focus is advocacy on behalf of the private sector on high-level national cross-cutting issues, coordination of the private sector’s engagement in public-private sector dialogue and private sector development, while sector associations focus on sector advocacy and sector development.

KEPSA, with financial support from TradeMark East Africa (TMEA) is implementing a 12 months project on improving Trade Logistics and the Investment Climate in Kenya.

KEPSA will apply part of the funds to enhance private sector participation in the EAC integration process by identifying bottlenecks for Kenyan business in the EAC, partnering with counterpart business advocacy groups and participating in investment and trade negotiation fora.

EAC Regional Integration Consultancy

Main Function

The function of the Regional Integration consultant is to conduct as study on bottlenecks (policy and operational) affecting small and medium enterprises as well as macro policy issues affecting Kenyan private sector in general in bilateral trade within EAC and recommend measures to address them through consultations with key stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities

Senior Internal Auditor NCIC Grade 4

Specific duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:

* Drawing up audit programmes
* Issuing audit report queries and observations
* Undertaking independent reviews of internal controls systems
* Supporting other departments in adhering to the audit controls.

Requirements for Appointment

* Have a Bachelors degree in Commerce (Accounting or Finance option) and passed Part III of the Certified Public Accountants of Kenya [CPA(K)] Examination or its approved equivalent qualification;
* Have served in the field of Audit for at least six (6) years in the Public or Private Sector;
* Be proficient in accounts based computer applications;
* Be familiar with accounts principles and procedures in the Public Sector;
