Account Manager - Training

Knowledge Transfer Centre is a leading provider of internationally recognized ICT & Technology related business training, delivered in partnerships with leading global technology vendors and service delivery partners.

Due to the need to grow across the industry, we wish to recruit a dynamic, target-driven and sales oriented individual to fill the above position.

Reporting to the Business Development Manager-KTC, you will be responsible for creation, development and successful closure of training opportunities for the Knowledge Transfer Centre.

Key Responsibilities

Develop account plans and sales strategies that will ensure attainment of company sales goals and profitability;Develop a solid sales funnel of training opportunities;Develop and maintain a comprehensive client database; Create new accounts, establish training requirements and follow up on leads given by other cross functional teams;Provide timely, accurate, competitive pricing on trainings packages; Prepare and conduct competitive proposal presentations and RFP responses; Liaise with the Marketing department to ensure regular distribution of client publications;Ensure consistent updating of course materials;Work closely with vendors and partners to pursue client leads and new products training;Keep abreast with vendor and partner strategy and market trends; and Prepare sales reports as required.Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce or other relevant;Understanding of IT products available in the region (Cisco, Juniper, Oracle, Sun and others)Certification in ITIL and Project Management.Three (3) years relevant experience in IT sales;For this position, you require to have strong organization and analytical skills with excellent verbal and written communication.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic IT Planning:

Developing new technologies, architectures and internal IT network systems.Determining and managing all aspects of planning, designing, building and operating the SST IT infrastructure.Developing and executing the information technology strategic plans and related budgets for the business.Overseeing the management of information technology business support systems to ensure delivery of expected results to end users.Ensuring the performance of the existing and any developed IT network infrastructure to ascertain effective implementation of business solutions to its internal customersEnsuring all measures are in place to enforce security and integrity of data and information held in the business’ information system by putting in place the security measures based on best practices and accepted global standards.Solution Development and Delivery:
Serving as a technical expert representative across internal functional teams and the information technology industry.Suggesting alternative technical solutions to meet staff requirements more efficiently, and/or with greater reusability, and / or longer life.Formulating and reviewing specifications and policies for purchase of internal IT solutions.Preparing functional recurrent and development budgets and managing expenditure for the unit.Defining, communicating and enforcing internal coding standards.Identifying reusable internal code required for the company’s internal code library and ensuring the high quality creation of the internal code.Managing the interface of IT with the customer facing units, and integrating the internal customers' point of view within the information technology deliverables where justification has been established.Overseeing the attracting, recruitment, deployment and retention of “A” players for IT.Undertaking all talent management activities and routines that ensure the internal IT team is continuously engaged, rewarded, developed and retained.Monitoring the performance of all team members and provide on-going feedback.Maintaining internal IT employees’ value proposition that engages the internal IT teams to deliver their best using optimized available resources.Requirements/ Competencies

Qualification

A Bachelors in a Technology or related field.Relevant Professional qualifications e.g. ITIL,ITSM,CISCOMinimum of 7 years experience in a technical Telecommunications/ Engineering/ IT management positionProven skills in running High Tech, agile and performance driven technical functions.Project Management experienceFor this position, you require to have strong planning and organization skills with excellent verbal and written communication. You must also demonstrate the ability to work in a highly driven environment, be a strong leader who is results oriented and an innovative and strategic thinker.

You should be a team player with proven dedication and commitment, persistent in approach and with a driving force. This position also requires a person of attested integrity.
