Summary
Our client is working towards being the preferred Service provider for the High end base.
Platinum Customers are the dearest customers in terms of their Value to the business.
We are looking for an individual who will be ensure implementation of the ESMP strategy / guidelines across all Opcos in Africa and be responsible for the proactive regulatory information management and reporting.
Primary Responsibilities
ESMP Compliance across Opcos
Ensuring that the EIA procedure is applied across board.Management Information Systems
Ensure Opco and group wide access to critical regulatory information and documentation including pertinent benchmarksEnsure establishment and ongoing maintenance/updating of regulatory library/information bank through Documentum including uploading and updating of documentsProvide training and ongoing support to Regulatory personnel in Group and the Opcos with respect to the use of Documentum as it pertains to regulatory informationTracking, maintenance and reporting of telecommunications and regulatory trends and benchmarking informationMonthly reporting, tracking and analysis of corporate regulatory KPI’s (e.g., fees, taxes) and related indicators including assessment of overall financial impact on company as it pertain to regulatory risk/exposureDevelop and implement a monthly Regulatory newsletter for internal consumption.Developing and coaching of Opco ESMP ManagersOrganising internal training courses on PGES implementation; in particular training courses designed specifically for all the personnel that take part in the selection, construction and functioning of the sites; annual recycling training.Relationship Management/Lobbying Activities
Participate and contribute in regulatory initiative development projects such as the tax and fee study, ICT and telecom bill, USF, LRIC cost model development, etc.Assist with various regulatory initiatives including the development and delivery of regulatory workshops Take part in conferences and influence environmental policies impacting on our activitiesEstablish and maintain effective relationships with the authorities and bodies responsible for social, environmental, hygiene and security issues;Skills and Requirements
Educational Qualifications & Functional / Technical Skills
Background and some experience in telecommunications interconnection and interconnection reconciliation. Minimum of 5 – 8 years work experience with at least three years on the job experience in the field of protecting the environment, people, property and materials;Other requirements (Behavioural etc.)
