Overview

Our client is an automotive parts dealer seeking to consolidate its position in the Kenyan market and establish competitive advantage in its line of business. In addition to parts, the firm has distributorship of Loctite and Teroson motor vehicle adhesives and sealants.

The firm has presence in Nairobi and Mombasa and seeks to exploit the full potential of these markets through acquiring new customers and servicing existing ones.

In this regard, the firm is looking to grow its team of suitably qualified and experienced people to deliver on key performance objectives/targets in order to drive the firm towards achieving its short term and long term goals.

The incumbent will be responsible for developing and implementing the sales strategy, ensuring the Loctite and Teroson adhesives and sealants reach and cover the Nairobi market in a timely and efficient manner, service existing clients and acquire new ones.

Duties and responsibilities

Selling Loctite and Teroson adhesives and sealants Mapping the Nairobi marketDeveloping and implementing an effective route to market strategyMaintaining and updating a database of existing and potential clientsEnsuring existing clients have Loctite and Teroson stocks at all timesServing customers in a timely, efficient and courteous mannerTaking customer orders and delivering products in a timely mannerDeveloping sales proposalsIdentifying sales opportunities and setting up initial sales meetingsMeeting clients and making presentations on Loctite and Teroson adhesives and sealants Following through and closing salesDetermining clients’ requirements and advising them on appropriate products Answering any technical questions about the products Writing sales reportsExcellent selling and presentation skills Ability to meet sales targetsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent negotiating skills Good numerical skillsGood report-writing skillsTime management and organization skillsValid motorcycle riding license/ motor vehicle driving license IntegrityInitiative/self-drivenAggressive and ambitiousOutgoing & pleasant personality Ability to multi-taskCapacity to work well on your own or in a team Results- oriented and self-motivatedQualification Requirements and Work Experience
Higher Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/Physical Sciences/SalesExcellent knowledge of motor vehicle partsA thorough understanding of physical and chemical properties of materials, adhesives and sealantsSales experience in the automotive industrySales experience in Nairobi will be an added advantageWorking knowledge of MS OfficeHow to Apply
