The Company: Del Monte Kenya Limited located in Thika – Kenya is a leading producer, marketer and distributor of premium quality foods, fresh and processed pineapple fruit and fruit juice beverages.

As part of our commitment to meeting our performance objectives, we are looking for a top-class individual to fill a vacant position in our Finance Department.

Position: Financial & Tax Accountant

Reports to the Chief Accountant.

Delmonte Financial & Tax Accountant Job Purpose:

In charge of all aspects of Tax & Financial compliance for the company. Ensuring deadlines are met with quality and properly controlled reports.

Key Functions

Responsible for the correct maintenance of the General Ledger under both USGAAP and IFRS

Handle monthly Group reporting

Take charge of the annual statutory accounts

Prepare the annual/quarterly returns to the KRA together with the quarterly tax returns to the Group

Overall in-charge of Treasury, Insurance, TREO etc

Co-ordinate Sarbanes Oxley compliance
Requirements for Financial Tax Accountant Kenyan Jobs

Aged between 25 and 35 years.

The candidates must possess a Bachelor of Commerce Degree or any business related degree with a bias in Finance.

Must be a CPA Finalist.

Experience in taxation and a deep understanding of deferred tax are essential.

At least five (5) years’ experience.

Natural team leader who can handle conflicting priorities with first-rate time management skills.

The ability to work meticulously and accurately under pressure.

Exposure to a major ERP would be beneficial.
