Construction Chemicals Sales Coordinator Job in Kenya




Job Title: Sales Coordinator

Our client is a fast growing company that started off as specialists in interior décor and wall finishes and recently ventured into the construction chemicals industry. 



They are an ambitious team that thrives on building the business with the core values of service, competitiveness and quality. 



They are seeking to recruit a Sales Coordinator.         




Job Purpose: A sales coordinator is a manager that implements sales policies, has the role of supporting the sales team to achieve the targets imposed by the company and tries to determine, together with the clients and the management, the business requirements. 


 


He/she must maintain a good relationship with the clients, the distributors and the sales agents. 



He/she also has to perform administrative duties (such as offers, proposals, agreements or reports).
 



He/she has to keep sales records, modify retail prices and costs in order to assure the success of the marketing strategies
 



Key Accountabilities
 



The position holder will have the following accountabilities;


  • Provide daily supervision to Sales Team and lead them towards achieving set sales targets.

  • Secure business from both existing and new customers.

  • In liaison with the Technical Engineer team, develop plans to acquire new customers, through direct sales techniques, intermediaries, cold calling, and business-to-business sales visits.;

  • Assist in overseeing and evaluating sales analysis, making strategic adjustments to meet market dynamics and competitive conditions.

  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners.

  • Assistance in sales forecasting activities and setting performance goals accordingly.

  • In liaison with the Human Resources, directing staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop the sales team.

  • Meet key clients and assist sales representatives in maintaining client relationships and negotiating and closing deals.

  • Preparation of periodic sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.

  • Other duties as assigned.


Key Qualifications


  • Degree /Diploma in sales and marketing

  • At least 3 years working experience in a sales role

  • Exposure to building chemical/building industry is an added advantage.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills

  • Excellent command of both oral and written English

  • Excellent phone conversation skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Basic knowledge and experience in logistics management

  • Analytical and logical approach to problem solving
