Job Description
Job Title: Fleet Coordinator (FC)
Department: Operations
Key Tasks
Prepare daily and monthly productivity report
Continuously follow up and update the fleet movement records and provide management fleet movement reports at 9.am, 12noon and 4m daily
Ensure maximum utilization of the fleet and client satisfaction by liaising with customers and planning for their expected truck requirement and coordinating utilization for any surplus fleet capacity
Deploy the drivers for loading and issue them with loading order fuel LPOs journey plans, mileage, consignment notes and any other necessary instructions
Discuss the journey plan with drivers after each trip
Receive and check delivery document fuel consumption averages and report to logistics manager any discrepancy before releasing the driver
Act as customer relationship contact and report to logistics manager any customer complaints delays, breakdown, short deliveries, damage of goods and any anticipated failure to meet customer demands
Ensure that the daily attendance of drivers & turnboys is correctly recorded in the computer
Monitor driver motivation and discipline
Prepare quotes for transport rates to clients for approval by the logistics manager & head of operations
Issue operations mileage
Prepare journey plan
Prepare expected loadings trucks report & truck defects daily
Key Requirements
Holder of a Degree in Business, Management or its equivalent from a recognized university;
At least 5 years’ experience in a similar field;
Excellent command of written and spoken English;
Advanced Computer Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Databases)
Experience in Automotive industry quality standards
Experienced and knowledgeable in Occupational Health Safety
