Our Client is a new player in the fish market. They are looking for a self-motivated individual to manage their marketing function. The responsibilities of this role are explained below.

Job Role

Responsible for planning and driving retail operations so as to ensure maximum sales, maximum profitability, optimum stocking, increase in customer satisfaction and continued business growth.
Marketing Job Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Head Operations and Marketing docketManaging contracts and SLAs with local fish vendors

Managing relationships with Fish vendors on different markets; Answering to their queries & concerns, ensuring they are loyal.

Map out new areas to sell the fish

Analyze competition and write reports to the management on the same

Ensures maximization of Sales through market research to maximize customer satisfaction.

Determination and spearheading the attainment of the sales target to support corporate revenue strategy.

Creation of cost effective ways to support cost leadership.

Compilations of various operational reports inclusive but not limited to sales and banking reports

Oversee the preparation of sales budgets.

Responsible for Inventory Management & Stock Distribution. Doing regular inspections to advise the distribution area

Oversees preparation of territory operating plan and ensure effective implementation.

Ensures effective people management under him/her including performance, schedules and training.
Requirements for Marketing Jobs in Kenya


Must have a Diploma in Marketing or a business field

A degree is an added advantage though not a requirement

Must have at least 2 years marketing experience ( In FMCG )

Must be well versed with the FMCG industry in Kenya

Leadership skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Excellent analytical skills

Ability to articulate, interpret and implement company policies and goals
