Overall Objective: To ensure that the trucks allocated to specialty business are effective serving the client needs and are cost effective and profitable to RTL

Responsible For

• Lubes direct deliveries and bridging


• LPG bulk milk run deliveries and cylinder direct deliveries transfers and bridging

 

Key Tasks

• Ensure daily that all specialty trucks are ready for the deployment, by taking morning call up by 6am for both truck and driver and maintaining a truck log and driver register


• To receive log attend and coordinate the resolution of all challenges affecting the fleet in a timely manner in order to reduce down time


• To maintain customer relationship management, monitoring and advising the client fo the truck movement to loading and delivery


• To maintain internal coordination with the depot in NJD and MJT on preloading inspections and loading details


• To do the journey plan for each trip and ensure that the trucks follow the same without any diversion by liaising with the tracking team to monitor any unauthorized unexpected stop and to report the same to the logistics manager


• To proactively engage by way of courtesy phone call the end customer where the specialty truck is expected to deliver as the truck reports for offloading and confirm clean delivery.  To raise any anomaly in the delivery with the logistics manager


• To ensure that all documents (depot customers and transporter copy) are returned back to loading depot and further to RTL sales office as confirmation of clean deliver


• To reconcile bulk LPG milk run deliver and ensure that loaded volume is fully accounted for


• To monitor loading and offloading and raise any delay with the logistics manager


• Any other functions directed and allocated by the supervisor

Key Requirements

• Holder of a Degree in Logistics and Transport Management or its equivalent from a recognized university;


• At least 5 years’ experience in a similar field;


• Excellent command of written and spoken English;


• Advanced Computer Skills(Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Databases), ;


• Heavy commercial vehicle driving license all categories;


• Experience in Automotive industry
