Imports Officer

The Imports Officer will be responsible to coordinate all import shipments and liaise with the supplier for pre-shipments inspection, ensure shipping is in line with schedule and make sure all required documentation is in place before arrival of shipment.

S/he will liaise with the clearing agents for timely clearance and ensure efficiency in importation process.

Applicants for the position must have a Degree in Logistics Management / Supply chain with a minimum 3 years relevant experience.

S/he should understand standard concepts, practices and procedures in import and export activities for air and sea freight including cargo tracing and shipment documentation. Experience in Kenyan importation laws and regulation will be an added advantage.

Night Security Supervisor

The Supervisor, Night Security will supervise a team of security guards who patrol and check the Hospital’s buildings and facilities within the policies and procedures to ensure the overall safety and security of the Hospital.

Duties: The job incumbent is responsible for assuming full control of all areas of the Hotel from 23h00 to 07h00, ensuring the comfort, well being and security of GUESTS in accordance with agreed performance standards.

The job incumbent is responsible for auditing, balancing and consolidating departmental ledger accounts and prelists, prepares various Hotel operating reports and assumes the duties of Front Office Receptionist/Cashier. May ooperate the switchboard, answers and directs all in-coming calls and deals with telephonic GUEST enquiries during shift hours.

Job Specification:

Literacy: Must be able to read and write in order to complete Front Office administration and reporting and deal with GUEST registration, correspondence and records. Must be able to comprehend written policy instructions and operating manuals.

Numeracy: Must be able to do advanced accounting and mathematical calculations to deal with Front Office statistical reports, deal with receiving payment in acceptable forms, check GUEST folio accounts, calculate rates and discounts, etc.

Language: Must be able to communicate verbally in English for the purposes of communicating with GUESTS and management.

Physical: Must be able to spend lengthy periods of time standing behind a desk and be physically fit to respond to GUESTS requiring assistance in an emergency situation.

Formal Training/Education: Minimum of Grade 12 (Std 10)

Competency: The employee must be competent in operating a computer and entering data on a keyboard. Competency in operating the Property Management System must be achieved within 2 months.

The employee must be able to consistently apply the skills and knowledge requirements of the job position in order to meet and exceed the minimum GUEST Service Standards laid down.
