The Institute of Advanced Technology (IAT) is seeking to recruit Tutorial Lecturers for its Mombasa Centre who will be responsible for Teaching Degree and Diploma Courses in:

Business Management and Administration

Requirements :

Must be Minimum a BEd Degree Holder. Kenyatta University School of Law wishes to recruit qualified and dedicated staff to fill the following vacant positions:

Professor

Applicants must be holders of a PhD Degree in Law or its equivalent from a recognized University.

In addition the applicant must:

Have at least twelve (12) years of University teaching experience, five (5) years of which he or she has worked as a full-time Associate Professor.Have successfully supervised at least four (4) Master students or two (2) PhD students since being appointed as an Associate Professor.Show evidence of continuing research including having published at least four (4) articles in refereed Journals since being appointed as an Associate Professor.Show evidence of active participation in departmental activities and good quality teaching skills.Evidence of successfully applying for a grant either individually or as a group since being appointed as an Associate Professor.Associate Professor

Applicants must be holders of a PhD Degree in Law or its equivalent from a recognized University.

In addition applicants must:

Have at least eight (8) years of University teaching experience, four (4) of which he or she has worked as a full-time Senior Lecturer.Have successfully supervised at least four (4) Master students or two (2) PhD students since being appointed as a Senior Lecturer.Show evidence of continuing research including having published at least four (4) articles in refereed Journals since being appointed as a Senior Lecturer.Show evidence of active participation in departmental activities and good quality teaching skills.Evidence of successfully applying for a grant either individually or as a group since being appointed as a Senior Lecturer.Senior Lecturer

Applicants must be holders of a PhD Degree in Law or its equivalent from a recognized University.

In addition the applicant must:

Have at least five (5) years of University teaching, three (3) of which he or she has worked as a full—time Lecturer after a PhD qualification.Have successfully supervised at least three (3) Master students or one (1) PhD student since being appointed as a Lecturer.Show evidence of continuing research including having published at least three (3) articles in refereed Journals since being appointed as a Lecturer.Show evidence of attendance and contribution at learned Conferences, Seminars or Workshops.Show evidence of active participation in departmental activities and good quality teaching.Evidence of successfully applying for a grant either individually or as a group since being appointed as a Lecturer.Lecturer

Applicants must be holders of a PhD Degree in Law or its equivalent from a recognized University.

Applicants with a Master of Law (LLM) degree and have:

Registered for a PhD degree,Shown satisfactory progress,Presented at least three (3) seminar papers or have two (2) publications in refereed Journals or a university level book by a reputable publisher will also be considered.Successful candidates will be required to teach, supervise students and conduct research in their areas of specialization.

Tutorial Fellow

Applicants must be holders of Master of Law Degree in the related field from a recognized University.

In addition, applicants must also be prepared to pursue a Ph.D Degree in their area of specialization.

Teaching experience will be an added advantage.

Terms of Service:

The terms of service for the teaching posts of Lecturers and above include membership to a Pension Scheme, a generous Medical Scheme, a House Allowance and a Commuting Allowance.

The application letter should give full details of Educational and Professional qualifications, Work Experience, Present Post and Salary, applicant’s telephone number and E-mail address; copies of certificates and testimonials should also be enclosed giving the names and addresses of three (3) Referees who are up-to-date with the applicant’s competence and area of specialization.
