AID Village Clinics is searching for dynamic results driven individuals to join our team and be based at the clinic. We offer competitive salaries and on-site housing is provided. We are currently recruiting for the following positions:Responsible for oversight of all inpatient and outpatient clinical diagnosis and care.Responsible for assuming a teaching role in daily rounds on each individual hospitalized patient.Responsible for compiling and delivering a weekly summary of mortality and morbidity to the Chicago office to be reviewed by the Board of Directors and consultant physicians.This will be a full-time position and will be on one year contract terms.Minimum qualifications requiredBachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MB ChB) and MMed (Internal Medicine) degrees from a recognized University.A certificate of specialist recognition.Registered with Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board with a valid practice license.At least 5 years experience in a supervisory and/or teaching role.Responsible for diagnosing, prescribing appropriate treatments, and the general care of patients. Keeps up to date and accurate computerized records including drug monitoring and patient progress.Refers patients to specialists and to other members of the patient care team as appropriate.Collaborates with lab, nursing, and support staff as required.Works closely with the other senior physicians in providing care to patients enrolled in our HIV/AIDS treatment program.Follows all legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care, while maintaining quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.Minimum qualification requiredShould have an MB ChB or equivalent.Registered with Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board with a valid practice license.Experience in a busy govemment or private medical institutions.Experience in ARVs management is desirable.3. Clinical Officer / AnesthetistEnsure and organize anesthesia activities at the clinic.Ensure the quality and safety of anesthesia activities.Organize and oversee the Operating Room at the clinic.Ensure safe and efficient storage and use of resources including equipments.Monitoring, evaluation and reporting of medical activities in Operating Room.Ensure adherence to the clinic’s established and approved clinical practice.Will be expected to see patients on site as may be directed when anesthesia services are not required.Diploma in clinical medicine and surgery from a recognized institution and a higher national diploma in anesthesia.Must be registered with the clinical officer’s council with a current practicing license.At least 3 years experience working in a busy hospital setup as an anesthetist.4. Community Health Extension WorkerPerform health care delivery tasks including public health demonstrations, patient follow-up and other clinical services .Keeping of complete and up-to-date patient and outreach activity records.Liaise with other outreach team members to ensure desired outcome of preventive health intervention programs.Undertake a rigorous field job; candidate will be required to be trained and licensed as a motorbike rider.Must be able to speak Maa language.Diploma in clinical medicine and surgery, nursing, laboratory technology, public health or related fields and must be registered and licensed by the relevant regulatory authority.At least 2 years experience in a similar positionExperience worldng with HIV/TB care and treatment programs a plusA strong background in all aspects of motor vehicle and motorcycle preventive maintenance is a must.Have at least 5 years of relevant hands-on-experience in motor vehicle preventive maintenance, particularly with Toyota Hiluxes, Land Cruisers and Yamaha AG 200 motorcycles.Ability to work with minimum supervision and be willing to work under pressure with flexibility in work scheduling.An appropriate qualification in motor vehicle mechanics from a recognized institution.Interested individuals can send applications, with accompanying CV and testimonials to:

* Work with heads of departments and Chicago Office to forecast demand of procurement services and to ascertain that goods are received as ordered and payments processed only for certified confirmation of deliveries or services.
* Ensure deliveries of ordered goods are done on time.
* Monitor inventory requirements, and ensure that stocks are implemented accurately with high level of accountability to ensure no overstocking or stock outs.
* Ensure implementation of the Company’s procurement policies and procedures for effective management of procurement services in the organization.
* Exhibit working understanding of the Kenyan Customs procedures and coordinate import process for goods coming from outside of Kenya.
* Coordinate with the Chicago Office on anticipated inventory outages in a timely manner.
* Coordinate physical counts periodically.
* The position will require spending time in our Nairobi offices as well as at the Mbirikani clinic site.

Qualifications:

* Bachelors Degree in Business, Economics or related discipline from a recognized institution.
* Post graduate qualification in Purchasing and Supplies Management and membership in a procurement professional body, i.e. Kenya Institute of Supplies Management or Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supplies (UK).
* 5 Years in purchasing environment and experience in purchasing hospital supplies will be a plus.
* The candidate should be comfortable dealing with data, with an intermediate understanding of Excel spreadsheets, and should be conversant with computerized procurement and logistics packages.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* A person of high integrity and honesty.
* Keen on detail with a high degree of accuracy.

Job Requirements.

More than 2years experience.
Great knowledge of office practices and procedures; business correspondence; record keeping systems; office machine operation; English grammar including usage and composition; telephone etiquette.
Exceptional ability to perform filing, receptionist, record keeping    and other related clerical tasks.
Strong ability to exercise judgment and tact in dealing with the public and other employees.
Excellent ability to work under minimal supervision and prioritize work.
In-depth ability to clearly explain policies, procedures and regulations.
Remarkable ability to identify and correct errors in English usage, sentence structure and punctuation; perform basic arithmetic calculations.
Strong ability to work with a variety of people.

SOS Children’s Villages Kenya is an affiliate of SOS - International whose mission is to build families for children in need, help them shape their own futures and share in the development of their communities.

In Kenya, the organisation runs four children’s villages in Nairobi, Mombasa, Eldoret and Meru and Kisumu under construction. SOS Children’s Villages Kenya provides infrastructure in terms of education and health and reaches out to the community through the families strengthening programs targeting vulnerable households.

We seek to recruit a Village Director to manage SOS Children’s Villages Kisumu. S/he should be able to lead the facility Independently and according to SOS Children’s Villages standards on Child care and good management.

Key duties and responsibilities :

Management of the SOS Children’s Village facility and assets therein.Planning and budgeting for project activitiesCoordinating the administration and operations of the Village and related facilitiesFulfilling the role of the father figure and role-model for the childrenOverseeing the educational and physical needs of the childrenProviding necessary support to the children and team of staff.Degree in any social science, post graduate qualifications will be an added advantage.6 – 8 years experience working with child focused organisation in a senior management positionAbility to work independently and as a member of the senior management teamDemonstrated work experience in policy interpretation and implementationProven interpersonal, leadership and effective representation skillsA strong family person, willingness work for long hours and live within an SOS Children’s villageStrong interest in needs and development of childrenMature person aged between 40 – 45 years and willing to make long term commitmentMust have a clean criminal record and a demonstrated love for childrenThe position offers a competitive remuneration and benefits package.
