Plan Senior Accountant Job in Bondo Kenya

Plan Kenya is recruiting a Senior Accountant to be based at Bondo Program Unit.

This job reports to Country Finance Manager.

The job holder will be responsible for coordinating the provision of accounting and financial management services at the Program Unit.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain the operations of the General Ledger to ensure timely and accurate processing of all financial transactionsEffectively prepare and manage budgetsProvide timely submission of accurate consolidated financial reports to the country officeEnsure accurate review and approval of financial commitments and payments against budgets and in compliance with Plan policies and proceduresProvide timely, accurate review and approval of reconciliation for cash, payroll, receivables, payables and inter-office accounts and timely resolution of reconciling itemsOversee timely execution of financial period-end processes and accurate consolidation of PU financial dataEnhance capacity of Program Unit staffs, CBOs and Partners in financial accountingManage performance of Program Unit AccountantQualifications, Experience and Skills:
Degree in Finance/Accounts and CPA (K) or equivalentAt least 5 years accounting experienceWell versed in computerised accounting applicationsStrong analytical skillsStrong planning and organisational skillsTraining/Facilitation skillsGood understanding of statutory requirementsHigh level of integrity and confidentialityPlan Kenya is a development organization uniting people to advance the rights of all children.
