The County Public Service
Board wishes to recruit competent and qualified persons to fill the following
positions in the department of Social Services and Talent Management.

ASSISTANT MUSIC OFFICER II 1
POST – JOB GROUP ‘J’

Qualifications

For direct appointment to this grade, a candidate must
have:

• served in the grade of Assistant Music Officer III or in a
  comparable and relevant position in the Public Service for a minimum
  period of three (3) years;


• Diploma in Performance Arts / Fine Arts / Music lasting not
  less than Two (2) year from a recognized institution and,


• Diploma in computer science from a recognized institution is
  an added advantage


• Must be able to demonstrate ability to teach vocal training
  and mastered the skills of playing a musical instrument

Duties and
Responsibilities

Duties and
responsibilities at this level will involve:

• conducting music audition at grassroots;


• assisting in teaching music to identified groups;


• teach skills in playing music instruments,


• managing musicians, musical groups and other forms of fine
  arts talents,


• managing a database of talents in performance/fine arts dance
  and music;


• filing reports for M&E; supervise care and maintenance of
  music facilities and equipment to the required standards;


• requisitioning of music equipment from stores;


• maintaining music implements records;


• Supervise basic music training activities during coaching of
  individuals, groups or bands; teaching general styles of music; teaching
  basic music instruments; teaching singing at beginner level;


• Planning and implementing program of instruction and lesson
  plans; and ensuring care and safety of music facility users.
