Summary of Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
1.Ensure daily production outputs meet the set targets.
2.Ensure all machines are working and in good condition set to the required efficiencies and that all safety standards are meet so as to avoid any accidents.
3.Guide and train the machine operators.
4.Ensuring purchase of the required spare parts of the machinery maintenance
5.Institute energy saving process so as to save energy
6.Prepare daily,weekly,monthly and annual maintenance schedules
7.Office and Plant maintenance and repairs.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Degree / Diploma – Mechanical Engineering – production or plant option
At least 3 years experience on a production line or/in an f.m.c.g
Good knowledge of computer skills
analytical and report writing skills
Good communication skills
Good knowledge of process flow
Salary K’sh 30,000

Business Development Officer
The individual is responsible for creating and implementing the business strategy for the institution, developing and implementing business plans and ensuring that agreed targets are realized.

Also responsible for coordinating research, marketing studies, product development and sales within the institution.

The position is also responsible for the overall coordination of the institutional strategic planning process, development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
* Spearhead the business development of existing projects, departments and any new units
* Provide oversight to the projects of the organization
* Ensure the development and maintenance of policies for projects
* Facilitate the development of the overall strategic plan, annual operational plans and the business plans for the projects and business departments
* Ensure that the business departments operate within the legal and statutory requirements and policy guidelines
* Ensure that the projects and business departments develop into centres of excellence in their respective service provision areas.
* Development of marketing and pricing strategy for the products and services of the centre and gift shop.
* Determine the demand for product/ services offered by the centre and our competitors
* Building of relationships with clients and managing and motivating the sales executives.
* Identification of potential target groups and markets
* Develop effective publicity programs; and manage and handle special events e.g. sponsorships/ parties/ product launches etc
* Develop marketing proposals
* Assign sales territories/ goals and advise sales team on ways to improve performance
* Maintain contact with key clients/partners/donors and collaborating agencies
* Undertake periodic evaluation of the effectiveness and efficiency of the projects
* Manage staff within the department under them

Qualifications and Experience
* Has at least a Bachelor’s degree in management /BCom-Marketing/ or a BA. or
* Diploma in Marketing, Public Relations or Communications with five years experience.
* Has at least three (3) years experience in a similar position.
* Possess working knowledge of computer application packages

Competencies:
* High level of integrity and good interpersonal skills
* Should possess strong communication & analytical skills.
* Able to work with minimum supervision
* Must be diligent, honest and responsible with strong leadership skills.
* Able to be fair and firm with the supervised staff.
* Ability to put the Staff/Organizational team above self

Salary: Basic: 30,000/= plus commission
