Request for Expression of Interest
Customer, Merchant, Employee and Work Environment Satisfaction Survey
The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) is a state corporation established in 1980 through an Act of Parliament (Cap 225A, Laws of Kenya) to conduct school and post school examinations within Kenya and to award certificates and diplomas to successful candidates in such examinations.
KNEC is inviting eligible and qualified firms to express their interest to carry out a survey to assess the levels of Customer satisfaction, Merchant satisfaction, Employee satisfaction and Work Environment satisfaction. Interested bidders should provide information in their EOI indicating their suitability to perform the assignment by show of relevant documentary evidence of past similar accomplishments. To be eligible the firms must provide the following minimum criteria:Provide statutory legislation documents i.e. copies of PIN, VAT Registration, Certificate of Incorporation/Registration and Tax Compliance certificate.Demonstrate financial and organizational strength by attaching audited accounts for the last 2 years.Provide curriculum vitae (CV) of lead consultants (one of whom must possess at least a master’s degree in social sciences), other staff and their qualifications.Provide details of similar assignments undertaken within the last five (5) years for equally large organizations, including client lists.Provide company profile including physical address, day time telephone contacts, email contacts.Knowledge of examinations and other educational issues will be an added advantage.NB: This is not a request for proposals but an expression of interest. After a review of expressions of interest, a shortlist of the most appropriately qualified firms will be invited to submit their technical and financial proposals through a letter of invitation that will include specific Terms of Reference.

The Kenya National Examinations Council reserves the right to reject any tender without giving reasons for the rejection and does not bind itself to the lowest or any tender.

Increase scope/market share of shared services across all GE businesses and countries within the Region.

Operational & Service Excellence -
Lead HR Operations services: on-boarding, off boarding, payroll and employee life cycle changes, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of all services.
Ensure all employee benefits are administered efficiently and in accordance with the relevant policies. Coordinate with functional partners and third party suppliers to deliver on local benefits.
Ensure that payroll is processed in an accurate and timely manner.
Maintain document management/retention standards and practices, inclusive of personnel files as per GE policies and country legislation.
Generate management reports (e.g. localization reports, overtime, leave utilization) to support compliance and growth.
Create a continuous improvement service culture, proactively identifying processes for improvement and driving change with a view to responding to business requirements and supporting business growth.

Compliance & Controllership -
Ensure compliance to all internal and local legislative requirements.
Ensure that the correct controls are established and executed to support all compliance requirements.

People Management & Development -
Ensure that the employee services team is resourced and trained effectively to meet business needs.
Ensure that all team members understand their roles and responsibilities and are performance managed accordingly.

Relationship Management -
Ensure that customer requirements are delivered within the agreed SLAs and timelines.
Manage the relationship between GE and 3rd party suppliers/vendors to ensure excellent service delivery to all customers.
Maintain knowledge of operating environment and liaise with key stakeholders (HR Managers, Business Leaders, and COE Leaders) to keep abreast of business activities/needs in an effort to identify opportunities to support business needs.
Qualifications/Requirements Relevant university degree or related qualification.
Knowledge of local labour regulations.
HR shared services leadership experience.
Strong operational manager and leader with a track record of improving performance in transactional teams.
Experienced people manager with ability to manage multicultural teams.
Process oriented with experience of process design preferably in the HR / Operations field.
Experienced in setting up and managing SLAs' and service contracts.
Good networking skills with experience in operating in a matrix environment.
Ability to build good working relationships both internally and externally.
Excellent communication skills.
Strong sense of customer orientation.
Desired Characteristics Green belt six sigma certification or other quality certification.
Project Management experience with capability to drive change.

Reporting to the Occupational Health & Safety Manager, the OHS Officer will be responsible for training staff and contractors in matters relating to Occupational Health and Safety as well as assisting with the implementation and follow-up with participants post training.up to date advice OH& S matters for a fixed term of twelve months during construction and commissioning.
Conduct safety related inductions.Prepare training reports.Providing OHS information to the employees, contractors and visitors.Collate and enter safety inspection reports into central data bases.Qualifications and experience:
Hold a tertiary qualification. Project Employee Relations Facilitator
