-Prepare tables for meals, including set up items such as linen, silverware and glassware.-Greeting guests (with eye contact and smile).
-Escort guests to their tables.-Present menus to the guests and answer questions about menu items, or making recommendations.
-Present wine list and describe or recommend wines to the guests.
-Taking food and drink orders.
-Present and serve wine (into the proper glass).
-Serving food and drinks.
-Check with guests to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems.
-Remove dishes and glasses from the tables for cleaning.

To strengthen its existing pool of qualified Waiters / Waitresses, the Hotel has organized interviews for suitable Kenyans interested in training as Banquets Waiters/Waitresses to undergo the in-house Banquets training program.

The requirements for persons eligible for the training are as follows: -

Age: 18-24 yearsEducation: “O” level passes in KCSE with at least mean grade C- and aboveWeight: 45-60 Kgs for ladies, 55-72 Kgs for gentlemenHeight: 160cm – 180cm for ladies, 165cm – 185cm for gentlemenAppearance: Smart, pleasant personality and presentableOther attributes: Positive attitude, outgoing, confident, good command of spoken English, mature and intelligentInterested persons who possess the above requirements should attend the interviews on Saturday June 04, 2011 at the Hotel premises starting at 9.00 a.m.

They should also bring their own handwritten applications supported by copies of the relevant certificates and National identity card.
