Position: Key Accounts Manager

Grade: Level 3

Reports To: Business 2 Business Manager (B2B)

Supervision: None

Main External Contacts:

* Clients
* Architects,
* Consulting Engineers,
* Quantity Surveyors

Main Internal Contacts:

* Commercial Team
* Finance Team
* Warehouse Team

Broad Job Function

Reporting to the Business to Business Manager, the Key Accounts Manager will be responsible for developing business relationships with Key accounts and Professional Consultants in order to develop and drive through sales to meet company business targets.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities for this job

* Identifying new business while continuing to develop greater levels of business / customer service with existing clients.
* Help strengthen excellent reputation for service and quality within targeted market sectors
* To undertake relationship management by marketing and brand positioning of our product range
* Develop and maintain long term relationships with key accounts
* Achieve targets on sales volumes and gross margins
* Coordinating with clients procurement staff, consultants and project managers to ensure sound sales execution.
* Effectively manage commercial trade debt within trade terms
* Continually and methodically carry out market intellgence

Personal Specifications for Kenyans

Academic Qualifications

* Bachelors degree in a Electrical Engineering or a related field

Professional Qualifications

* Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) qualifications or its equivalent

Job Experience

* Five years relevant working experience in management and development of key accounts / sales.
* Three of which should be at a frontline Customer engagement
* Experience or qualification in electrical engineering an added advantage.

Skills

* Good marketing, selling and presentation skills
* Strong management and negotiation skills
* Computer literacy and familiarity with standard office computer applications.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
* Member of Professional Body/Society
