Sirikwa Dairies Limited Chilling Plant Manager’s Job Advert

Sirikwa Dairies Ltd is a registered farmer owned dairy company located approximately 45 Kilometers from Eldoret town, along Chepkoilel campus- Sirikwa road. It is located in Sirikwa Township in Uasin Gishu North County.

Owing to this growth, the company wishes to appoint a key member of staff to perform the functions of a Chilling Plant Manager for our dairy business in Sirikwa
This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate with a strong managerial background and track record in the dairy subsector, with a particular focus on managing a dairy enterprise through a milk chilling plant.

Responsibilities:

* Improve the operational systems, processes and policies in support of the company’s mission and vision.
* Oversee overall financial management, planning, systems and controls.
* Ensuring all departments operate efficiently, meeting both the farmers’ expectation of service and the companies’ expectation of profitability
* Establish an annual operations plan in support of all departments and in accordance with the overall strategic plan and growth objectives of the company to ensure the accomplishment of approved business plans
* Work with Production, Technical, Quality, Sales & Finance team towards achieving the company’s objectives
* Encourage clear leadership responsibility regarding the creation and nurturing of a business environment in which “what gets measured gets managed”
* Maintain dedicated and cohesive focused teams with elevated expectations to meet current and future needs of our company

Preferred Skills and qualifications:

* A university graduate with a degree preferably in business
* Knowledge and experience in organizational and operations management
* Demonstrated leadership & vision in managing a team or major projects/initiatives.
* Two years of experience working as a Manager in a dairy company or related enterprise
* Strong knowledge of technical, finance and regulatory issues within the dairy industry
* Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style.
* Budget development and oversight experience
* A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards
* Excellent people manager, open to direction and collaborative work style and commitment to get the job done
* Ability to challenge and debate issues of importance to the organization.
* Ability to look at situations from several points of view
* Persuasive with details and facts
* Delegate responsibilities effectively
