Purpose of the Job:  To oversee the recording of the company’s financial information, including, but not limited to, preparing monthly reports, budgets, commentaries, standard financial statements, invoices, delivery notes, and receipt vouchers. Key Responsibilities:

Ensure accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses;Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularitiesEnsure that records comply with laws and regulations; Compute taxes owed, prepare tax returns, ensure prompt paymentCompile and analyse financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and document business transactionsManage receivables for existing clients and payables for suppliersAdminister payrolls and all applicable employee taxesExplain billing invoices and accounting policies to staff, vendors and clientsWork with both external and internal auditors when requiredEstablish and monitor the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures; Inspect account books and accounting systems to keep up to date; Make best-practices recommendations to management; Develop and manage financial  systems and policiesCarry out any other duties, related to the job, assigned by management as and when requiredSkills and Personal Attributes:Proficient in Pastel Partner or highly similar ERP softwareProficient in Microsoft Office suite of programs (i.e., MS Excel)Fluent in Kenyan tax and accounting codes/lawsStrong analytical, organizational and communication skillsHighest ethical standards and integrityAbility to foster and thrive in a team environmentQualifications and Experience:Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Accounting) and CPA certification required1-3 years of experience with successful track recordKenyan national strongly preferredCompany Name: Buffalo Bicycles Kenya Ltd.
