Senior Associate – Corporate / Commercial Lawyer
Our client, the leading most prestigious Law firm in Africa seeks to recruit highly experienced Senior Associates to join their Nairobi office.
They MUST be qualified in Kenya, UK or USA. This is an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious lawyer who is looking to return, if not already in Kenya, and work at an international level assisting global multi-nationals who have business in the region or referring work into Kenya.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing advice on all aspects of corporate governance.
- Represent corporations in structuring their initial capitalization and in ongoing corporate financing transactions.
- Counseling businesses in connection with their ongoing contractual relationships with domestic and international customers, suppliers and distributors.
- Assisting with domestic corporate transactions – mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures, as well as equity investments.
- Providing general legal advice including drafting and negotiating commercial contract.
- Company secretarial duties including statutory filings and maintenance of corporate registers.
- Legislative and regulatory compliance tracking.
- Providing compliance training to the business.
- Production, maintenance and circulation of legal newsletters.
Qualifications:
- Must have LLB Degree
- Ideal candidates must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience of practicing law in a senior management.
- Must demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills.
Monthly gross salary: Ksh. 250,000 – 500,000/= (Approx. 2,777 – 5,555 USD) depending on experience
