Country Manager – Uganda

Core Purpose: – To maximize the Company’s profitability by leading the team to retain and grow the existing Customer base and to ensure maximum penetration and development of new Markets and customers.

Key Performance Regions: -

• Develop & implement Business Strategies & operational plans to meet the agreed Company Budgets.


• Manage the daily activities of Country to ensure that sales, financial and administrative standards are met.


• Lead, manage and develop a committed and competent team of associates’


• Objective individual & team performance management based on Company Values and Goals


• Implement & drive cost – optimization programmes and measurements, whilst maintaining a sound levels of business judgment


• Ensure highest levels of Customer Satisfaction


• Maintain and promote good and solid relationships with all relevant stakeholders


• Ensure that relevant Service Level Agreements are  implemented and maintained


• Carries out extensive field tours in the Country


• Formal reporting & feedback to Director SSA, as per agreed Business Plan

Skills and experience required: -

• A minimum of 5 years in the Tyre / Transport / Motor related industry.


• At least 2 years relevant experience in a similar position.


• Good understanding of New business development in the tyre industry


• Advanced selling, communication, interpersonal and negotiating skills.


• Verbal and written presentation skills at all operational levels


• Proven understanding and application of general management principles, including retail & commercial Product campaigns & promotions, Operational & Financial Control, Budgeting and Industrial Relations

Qualification required: -

• Minimum: Relevant tertiary qualification. Preferably Marketing / Business Management Diploma.


• Ideal: B Comm. Degree


• Must be prepared to travel extensively in terms of operational requirements in SSA


• Detailed knowledge of business environment and trading conditions in Uganda will be an advantage
