KAMP-PRISK Assistant Licensing Officer


Kenya Association of Music Producers (KAMP) and Performers Rights Society of Kenya (PRISK) are Collective Management Organizations (CMOs) licensed by the Kenya Copyright Board under Section 46 (2) of the Copyright Act 2001 to represent producers of sound recordings and performers of audio and audio-visual works respectively. KAMP and PRISK are both mandated to collect license fees from public users of sound recordings and audiovisual works and distribute royalties to their respective rights holders In accordance with Section 30 (A) of the Copyright Act, Cap 130, Laws of Kenya.


General Purpose: KAMP-PRISK seek to appoint an Assistant Licensing Officer (ALO) whose primary duty shall be implementation of KAMP-PRISK license processing policy, management of music user database and updating both Legal & Licensing Officer and Licensing & Enforcement Officer of arising issues in the processing of licenses.


To undertake office licensing activities as assigned by the Legal & Licensing Officer or the Licensing & Enforcement Officer from time to time.


The ALO shall report to the Head of Licensing, KAMP-PRISK.


Assistant Licensing Officer Core Duties and Responsibilities

Manage and keep updated the user database

Approve licensing documents for processing of licenses

Ensure Licenses are processed and delivered on time

Ensure proper filing of all licensing documents

Other duties as may be assigned
Education and Qualification for Licensing Officer Kenyan Job

Diploma in Business Administration, Communication, Human Resource or related fields.

Demonstrated experience in administrative duties and data entry.

Good knowledge of intellectual property law, mainly copyright and related rights management and the Copyright Act of 2001 is an added advantage.
