Job Purpose: The job holder will assist the Director, Strategy and Advisory Services in analysing, mapping and documenting all the systems and processes of the Group. 
The Business Process Analyst will also assist in defining the automation needs of all departments, and in the implementation of appropriate automated solutions.
Analyze, model, and map all business processes and systems to create a complete picture of all work-flows across Acorn GroupEvaluate existing systems and processes and propose initiatives of reengineering the same so as to reduce waste and enhance efficiency and effectiveness of the entire organisationIdentify new approaches and solutions to business issues identified through analysis of processes and coordinate the implementation of the same after obtaining the buy-in from key stakeholdersIdentify and validate the key business objectives and requirements taking into account the overall strategic objectives of Acorn GroupCoordinate requirements walk-through and sign-off, verifying with user representatives/stakeholders that process models and maps accurately portray specific business needsEvaluate potential software solutions, including off-the-shelf and open source components, and the system architecture to ensure that they meet current and anticipated business requirements.Coordinate the implementation of identified software solutions.Facilitate testing, training and user acceptance and oversee cut-over to the implemented solutions

Our client, a global security printing, papermaking and cash handling Systems Company, is looking to hire a Process Improvement Lead. The Process Improvement Lead will ensure that all company processes are working at optimal efficiency on a continuous basis. They will evaluate company processes, assess opportunities for improvement, implement required process and other changes to deliver process and non-process improvement to increase efficiencies and productivity. As a culture change agent for the site, the selected person will be a strong leader with good influencing skills. S/he will need to leave a positive impact on the business.
Review and improve work flows in different departments across the business.Assess processes and where applicable recommend improvements including through the set-up of SOPs, 6S and other lean manufacturing tools.Lead continuous improvement programme, championing and implementing best practice throughout company operations.Facilitate, train and support CI initiatives also through training multidisciplinary improvement teams.Identify redundant processes that compromise quality output.Encouraging employee ownership and involvement in continuous improvement projects.Be the site knowledge repository of Manufacturing KPIs (OEE, Yield and OTIF).Use relevant KPI’s to install best practice and drive initiatives to enable delivery of targets.Preparing periodic reports to management on various projects being undertaken.To always act and behave in a way compliant with all company guidelines and policies, especially those relating to Environmental Health and Safety, ethics and codes of conduct.Maintain an up-to-date record of training and development ensuring full participation in performance review processes.A university degree and professional qualification Engineering/Finance/ Strategic Management/Business Administration/Operations Management and/or in a related field.5 years’ experience in process improvement gained in a busy manufacturing environment, and a proven track record of achievements.Be familiar with process improvement techniques ideally with application of six sigma and lean methodology.Excellent computer skills i.e. Microsoft Office and Outlook SkillsExcellent facilitation and problem solving skills with ability to deliver training.Excellent communication and project management skills.Excellent interpersonal skills.Ability to demonstrate leadership.Ability to drive change.A good understanding of modern manufacturing techniques and lean manufacturing principles is essentialAbility to lead, motivate, coach and develop people and work within a team environment.Have a proven track record of leading multi-disciplinary teams.Remuneration: The salary for this position is competitive. Job Purpose: Reporting to the GLT Plant Manager, to optimize Green Leaf Threshing (GLT) plant performance and achieve the best product quality and yields through continuous process improvement and process behavior analysis. Analyze, monitor and evaluate quality results and process variables in-order to optimize tobacco processing.Carry out process audits and optimize machinery output and continuous review of processing equipment upgrades.Conduct process improvement projects and process recommendations.Design business processes and manage any changes to them throughout their life cycle.Synthesize complex or diverse information, designs work flows and procedures.Document and or revise process procedures vis-à-vis start up, shutdown and monitoring after plant modifications.Training of subordinates and other external trainees.Document Business Process Management System (BPMS) specifications to be used by the technical team for process automation test and execute processes using the BPMS to ensure that the right outputs are delivered.Review all process modifications and give internal technical advice.Examine processes holistically to understand the impact of changing them on business strategy, people, systems and general business operations.Contribute and participate fully in developing & driving initiatives necessary to achieve overall business objectives. Graduate engineer, preferably Process/ Industrial Engineering.At least two years of processing experience.Thorough understanding of product processing, quality measurements and specification procedures.Critical analysis, problem solving and reporting skills.Exposure to Six Sigma/Lean methods, Analysis tools and Change Management.Experience with software development on commercial or enterprise projects.Good communication and leadership skills. Applications close on 30th April 2014.
