Job Title: Office Administrator

Branch: Homabay, Migori and Siaya

Salary: 15,000 Depending on qualifications

Reports To: Regional Customer Service Officer.

Purpose of the job:

Manages the Customer Service & operational aspect of the Branch. 

Develops and monitors adherence to policies and procedures for this purpose.

Functions/Responsibilities:

Be familiar with all FEP products, policies & guidelines and apply them as required.Market and cross sell FEPs products.Provide excellent Customer Services to the Branches customers.Administer the Branch Office operations in the branch as well as supporting Marketers and county chairs within the Branch.Timely production of all reports on branch performance.Review branch performance and report monthly on branch profitability to the Regional Customer Service /Operations Supervisors in liaison with the accountant.Participate in the preparation and management of the operational budgets for the Branch.Ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory provisions regarding risk management, prompt reporting of risk provisions within the Branch, this includes County/ Municipal licenses.Respond to emails and queries from the customers, Managers, colleagues, e.t.c with the agreed Turnaround time.Any other duties as may be assigned by the Regional Customer Service OfficerSkills / Experience:

Program Description: The Research Care and Training Program (RCTP) is a collaboration between the Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI), University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) and University of Washington (UW). RCTP leads the Family AIDS Care and Education Services (FACES) program, a comprehensive HIV prevention, care and treatment program working in 83 clinics in Nyanza Province, Kenya.
RCTP is seeking 2 motivated, proactive individuals (one male and one female) who have research experience, preferably with qualitative interviews to fill the following vacancy:
Qualitative interviewer for a research project known as “Shamba Maisha,” a pilot agricultural intervention focused on improving food security and HIV health outcomes through microfinance loans, water pump provision, and agricultural and financial training. Shamba Maisha offers FACES patients the ability to improve their household nutrition and health through a farming intervention. The vacant position being filled is that of a qualitative interviewer who will conduct in-depth interviews with the participants of Shamba Maisha.
 Position: Qualitative Research Interviewer Location: Migori and Rongo District Hospital – Nyanza Province
 Job Summary: The Qualitative Research interviewers are responsible for conducting interviews; overseeing recruitment and data collection and management, coordinating the transcription and translation of interviews; ensuring that the recruitment and retention goals of the study are met; and if skills and interests align, participate in data analysis and manuscript development.
 Preferred: Masters of Science or Advanced Degree in the Social Sciences, Medicine, Nursing, Agriculture, Nutrition or Public Health or other relevant field.
 Experience conducting qualitative interviews, 2-3 years of experience strongly preferred.
 Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, including the ability to maintain frequent contact using cell phone, email, and internet-based phone (i.e. Skype).Ability to monitor, gather and evaluate information of broad scope and complexityAbility to communicate effectively both orally and in writing in English, Kiswahili, and Dholuo.Ability to translate Dholuo and Kiswahili into written English proficientlyInterest in working in an innovative and demanding environment, with extensive travel to rural sites in southern Nyanza Province.Enthusiasm for rural agricultural, health, and/or economic development work.Ability to multi-task, problem solve, and work with others to resolve challenges.Ability to follow-up on tasks and follow through on deadlines are critical skills in this positionStrong communication, training, leadership skills.Open-minded and willing to learn new skills and approaches to researchCompetent with computer software applications including Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
