Assignment

Main mission is to evaluate all the necessary technical elements for a quote, to follow-up the quote until the contract is signed and to assure a correct execution once the move is booked. 
 Conduct technical visits at the clients’ homes in order to estimate the volume of furniture and personal belongings to be moved.Determine the technical means necessary in order to ensure the smooth carrying out of the operation.Explain the flow of operations to clients and give them all the information pertaining to the destination of their move (for example, the customs duties that are applicable in the country of arrival, prohibited articles etc.)Develop the sales offer (in collaboration with the sales coordinators).Systematically send reminders to all clients / prospects after sending sales offers.Monitor operations for the clients, to ensure their complete satisfaction.Manage any disputes.Perform on the spot quality checks on the moves.Provide competitive intelligence.Attend events bringing together current and prospective clients.Report regularly (weekly) to the manager.Able to establish a good relationship with the client / prospect.Ability to listen: he /she understands what is important to the client / prospect.Observer: he / she is able to discover what is important and valuable in the eyes of the clients and uses it in his/her selling arguments.Rigorous: he/she prepares for the visit before going to the client /prospect’s, ensures that he/she has checked all the technical details of the operation. He/she prepares the quotes quickly and delivers them on time. Persistent, he/she knows how to argue and tries to conclude the sale during the visit. If this is not possible, he/she systematically calls the client / prospect within 48 hours after sending the quote to try and book the move.Efficient: he/she constantly monitors his/her booking ratio.Minimum 3 years relevant experience (clearing and forwarding industry experience essential)

Requirements

a) At least 5 years of experience in inspection knitted fabrics or garments such as rib, jersey, fleece, velour, interlock, tricot, mesh, etc

b) Must have inspection experience for end-markets which include US and Europe

c) Must be very familiar with international standards of fabric inspection and sensitive when comparing original standards or requirements against strikeoff, lab dip, handlooms, handfeel and bulk production

d) If there are problems with the fabric, QC is to be effective in negotiating with the garment factory and come up with solutions /alternatives to solve problems

Responsibilities

a) To stay in factories for short or extended periods for in-line inspection during bulk production and solve issues as they come up.

Senior Refinery Inspector

Professional Area: Engineering

Brief Description:

The position holder shall report to Manager Inspection and Integrity.

The main responsibilities (among others) are:

Responsible for all NDT work in the Refinery and refinery facilities.Responsible for all new construction work quality control.Responsible for quality control in all maintenance activities affecting the pressure envelop.Develop and enforce quality Integrity Management ProceduresDevelop short, mid and long term inspection/maintenance programs.Generate major turnaround maintenance scopes of work.Cross country pipelines integrity/ inspection programs.Proactive Inspections programs for tanks, process equipment, process plant.Proactive inspection programs for all steel structures comprising supports, bridges, platforms etc, etc.Day to day advisory on integrity threats and best practices.Statutory compliance management.Training and development of apprenticesMaintenance of independent Integrity Audit Processes to maintain internationally acceptable level of integrity assurance.The key tasks ( among others) are:
Provide specialist advice on all matters pertaining to NDT activities in the refinery.Integrity assurance of the entire plant and pressurized envelop.Maintain data base of up to date data, analyse, and monitor corrosion/ material loss in all process loops.Proactively identify integrity threats in the Refinery Plant and facilities and advise mitigation actions.Calculate and confirm structural strengths for new, modified or repaired and existing infrastructure to assure integrity.Enforce quality of repairs, and new constructions to ensure strict adherence to codes and best practices.Supervise/ advise contractors on construction methodologies.Pressure safety devices maintenance program.Cathodic protection monitoring program,Participate in RCA/ DE programs.Conduct audits in integrity management assurance.Maintain data base on preferred manufacturers,and engineering material sources,Advisory on materials testing for acceptability, including PMR,Advisory, and qa/qc on weld repair processes in repair jobs.Provide training in the field of Welding, NDT technics, Certifications, legal compliances, etc, to staff Engineering, Operations and Technology departments.Participate in the relevant global/regional networks in the field of Refinery Inspections as and when needed.Seek and promote best NDT/ Inspection practices that will lead to enhanced delivery of the Best-in-Class targets.Work closely with the shutdown teams in following best practices in turnaround maintenance.Review inspectors turn around work scopes and optimize said work scopes during the Scope Challenge Workshops in order to help ensure the best overall refinery plant utilization.Provide advice in developing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure/trend activities relating to site integrity assurance.Provide advice in selection and proper execution of alternative inspection and non-destructive test methods and techniques to improve plant/equipment integrity and reliability.Review and approve the inspection schedules for static equipment and piping (both shutdown and on-stream) related to identified corrosion failure modePossess a bachelor's degree (from a recognized university) or tertiary/professional qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering.Minimum 8 years experience in hands-on inspection/ corrosion engineering in process plantsCandidates with post graduate qualification in inspection, material science, corrosion engineering, will have added advantage.Good knowledge of the various refining processes and inspection challengesCandidate should have sound knowledge of developments in NDT inspection technicsMust be a self starter with strong leadership qualities, able to work effectively in multidiscipline teams, and have well developed communication skillsMust have practical knowledge in latest Inspection technics, Risk Based Inspection methodologies, fitness for purpose analysis, and working with Inspection Data Management SystemsMust have comprehensive knowledge of failure analysis methodologies and report writingSound and applied knowledge of HSE management processesRelated Posts Widget for Blogger
