Gardener

Handling of Ground works / landscaping and paticipipating in outside functions

Hotel Overview:

The Fairmont Mara Safari Club has opened following an extensive renovation program. Surrounded on three sides by the Mara River, and on the edge of the World’s Seventh “new” wonder of the World – the Maasai Mara – Fairmont Mara Safari Club is the epitome of tented luxury. The main lodge at the centre of camp hosts an indorr restaurant, bar and library with internet access to keep relatives up to date with Safari adventures.

Summary of Responsibilities:

Reporting to Repair & Maintenance Supervisor,responsibilities and essential job functions include and are not limited to the following:

Mowing/Edging and slashing of grass .

Application of top dressing soil.

Sweeping litter and grass clipping after use

Indoor plants maintenance.

Vegetable garden crop husbandry

Weeding, pruning and pests control.

Eradicating of weeds manually or by application of herbicides

Employee Status

Qualifications:

Previous experience in land scaping is an asset.

Knowledgable in treatment of Septic tanks ,soak pits and other related fields on wetlands areas.

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):

Constant standing and walking throughout shift .

Ability to work for long hours.
