Quality Control Technician FMCG Job Vacancies in Kenya

Our client is a leading cereal manufacturer and importer. They seek to hire Quality Control Technician to ensure product standards are achieved maintained and improved. This will be done by collecting and analysing data of various processes, carrying out chemical and microbiology analysis as well as physical inspections
Technician Job Duties and Responsibilities
To inspect all materials against standards and results communicated to stores, QCM and purchasing in case of non-conformance.
To collect data at half hourly intervals minimum from various key areas, interpret it, and be in a position to guide production on key areas that may require amendments.
Prepare routine and special reports to production staff, management and regulatory agencies as required such as analytical results etc as well as advising and guiding production on areas of improvement based on the data collected
Advice operators on any changes to amend in order to ensure final product meets specification.
Liaise with the Quality Control Manager on matters concerning quality assurance and safety issues.
Ensure good manufacturing processes is followed at all times by continually training workers in the areas related to personal hygiene, Product quality expectations
Ensuring that materials and product non-conformities are labeled properly and segregated.
Ensure Maintenance during breakdown does not affect product quality and avoid product contamination.
Ensure product packed has passed all parameters as stipulated in the product standards and the organization SOP.
Ensure storage of finished product and raw material is kept in a way it will not cause deterioration.
Qualifications and Requirements for Technician Jobs in Kenya
Diploma in Food science or Food chemistry with knowledge of working in both microbiological and chemical laboratory.
3 – 4 years working experience in a food manufacturing industry
Skills in performing standard quality assurance/ quality control evaluation procedures, evaluating data using statistical methods for analysis, interpreting results and making appropriate recommendations to management in developing and presenting a variety of training programs and preparing manuals and documentation.
Should be ready to work in both day and night shift.
Should be ready to work odd hours including weekends and extended shifts
